Road, Was called to the Heading of the Law, in Celebration of his bar-mitzvah, at Shaarei Tefillah Synagogue. He is the brother of Alda, aged ten years. At a Kiddush luncheon after services, ninety guests were received. The following evening, a dinner reception took place at the Synagogue. Sirs. Glassman wore an Off-white gown of peau de sole; with a beaded bodice; and had a wristlet of white orchids. Alda wore a pink lace and organza dress; and had a pink wristlet. Those seated at the head table with the family were: Rabbi M. Kirshenblatt, Cantor and Mrs. J. Zigelman, Dr. M. Glassman, master of ceremonies, and Mrs. Glassman. Maurice Turk and his orchestra entertained. Reverend S. Bronstein asked the blessing over the challah.
Miss Sandra Rochwerg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Rochwerg, 285 Hillhurst Boulevard, and the fiancee of Arnold Goldman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Goldman, 389 Concord Avenue, was honoured at a dinner and shower. One hundred and twenty guests were present. The hostesses were: Mesdames A, Goldman, mother of the groom-to-be, wearing a gray and rose-coloured, print, silk suit; M. Pollack, 389 Concord Avenue, grandmother of the groom-to-be, in a rose-beige crepe and lace dress, with a corsage of yellow roses; H. Mrs. Rochwerg, mother of the bride-elect, wore a dress of black organza, with embroidery in pink, blue, and white, at the hemline; and had a corsage of red roses. Miss Sandra Rochwerg, the bride-elect, wore a gown of light-blue peau de soie, with bell-shaped skirt; and had a white orchid corsage. The marriage will take place on June 10, at Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue.

Mrs. Marcovitch wore a royal-blue, woollen sheath; with a pink flowered hat. The same evening, at a dinner, with one hundred guests, Mrs. Marcovitch wore a strapless gown of pink, satin peau de soie, fashioned with a beaded bodice; and full skirt; and had a wristlet of orchids. Mrs. Rosenbaum, wore a turquoise-blue, peau de soie gown, trimmed with lace; and her corsage was of pink roses. The candles were lit by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Kliger, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Kliger, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Freelan, Arnold and Risa Kliger, Bernie Roman, Samuel Nudelman, Mrs. Samuel Saslove, and Miss Carol Saslove, Mrs. Keith Mosley, Miss Shirley Kliger, and Mr. and Jack Litwin; all uncles, aunts, and cousins; and the immediate family.
Miss Sheila Ann Caplan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Caplan, 22 Water Street, St. Catharines, Ont, and the fiancee of Dr. Stanley Earl Sable, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sable, 60 Rose-bury Road, was honoured at a bridal luncheon, at the New Murray House, with one hundred and sixty guests present. Mrs. Sable, the hostess, and mother of the groom-to-be, wore a beige-gold lace sheath, with gold-coloured sash, and drape at the back; and had a corsage of pale-pink and white roses. Mrs. E. Caplan, mother of the bride-elect, wore a
taupe-coloured silk shantung sheath, with ivory-coloured lace bodice: and a corsage of yellow roses. Miss Sheila Ann Caplan, the honouree, wore a turquoise-blue, silk shantung sheath, with white straw-lace bodice; and had a wristlet of white roses and Carnations. Each had a corsage of red roses. Decorations were In shades of turquoise-blue, and white; with a centerpiece of roses, carnations and gladioli, centred with white candles; and each table had a centerpiece of carnations, snapdragons, and roses, and a white candle in the centre. The marriage Will take place on July 15, at Beth Sholom Synagogue, at half-past five o'clock, with Rabbi David Monson officiating.

Mrs. Mary Steinberg, 939 Avenue Road, died on Saturday. March 17, at New Mount Sinai Hospital, at the age of eighty-one years. She was the widow of Max Steinberg; and is survived by two sons: Albert, 102 Vesta Drive; and Bert, 939 Avenue Road; three daughters: Mrs. S. Carlen (Muriel), 4 Ormsby Crescent; Mrs. W. T. Lederman (Audrey), 78 Castle Knock Road* and Mrs. L. Axelrod (Zelma), of Los Angeles, Calif.; and eight grandchildren: Michael, and Ruth, children of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Steinberg; Peter, and Robert Carlen; Susan, and Mark Lederman; and Sharon, and Lynne Axelrod. Funeral services were held at Holy Blossom Temple, with Rabbi Jerald Bobrow officiating. Interment was at Holy Blossom Memorial Park. Shiva was private.
Leonard Wilson, 116 Braemar Avenue, died suddenly, on Tuesday, March 13, at New Mount Sinai Hospital, at the age of fifty-three years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wilson; a daughter, Phyllis, aged fifteen years; his mother, Mrs. Rose Wilson, 3560 Bathurst Street; and two sisters: Mrs. M. Berman (Yvette), of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Max Schuman (Millie), 26 Harrison Road. He was the son of the late Joseph Wilson. Rabbi David Monson officiated at funeral services. Interment was at Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Shiva was held at 302 Eglinton Avenue, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Rabovsky, brother-in-law and sister of Mrs. Ruth Wilson.
Mrs. Molly Haft, 327 Queen Street East, died on March 18, at the age of eighty-five years. She was the widow of Shmeril Alter Haft; and is survived by: a daughter, Mrs. Philip Rotman (Jennie), 327 Queen Street East; two sons: Samuel, of New York; and William, 20 Hotspur Road; five grandchildren: William Rotman, 446 Fairlawn Avenue; and Mrs. M. Gold (Nettie), 123 York Downs Drive; children of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Rotman; Stephen, and Richard; children of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Haft; and Jack, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Haft; and six great-grandchildren: Tina, Wendy, and Janice; children of Mr. and Mrs. William Rotman; and Stephen, Larry, and Brian Gold. Rabbi Erwin Schild officiated at funeral services. Interment was at Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Shiva was at 40 Hotspur Road, the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Haft.
