New Board of Directors and New Direction for Chamber
VANCOUVER — Recently, the current Board of the Ireland Canada Chamber of Commerce took office with a slate of new members. Greg Hanna, new Chairman of the ICCC, said, "the new Board has now met twice and I am delighted to report that we have proposed some improvements that will move the Chamber forward with an upgraded vision of its purpose and goals.
"We are delighted with the position that the founding members have left us with. The current Board sees a new value-added dimension to membership in the Chamber. The first move in that direction will be revised membership categories to better serve business, personal and corporate members.
"We have also made considerable improvements to our website, thanks to the efforts of new Director, Peter Lord and his daughter Melanie. You can check out their efforts at: www. ire-can -cc.bc.ca.
"Our first member social event will be a pub quiz night to be held at O'Hare's Neighbourhood Pub, 5031 Steveston Highway in Richmond, on September 25 at 8 PM. We look forward to seeing everyone there."
