BONNIE RIDEOUT
Scottish Reflections
Bonnie Rideout has been described as one of the finest and most fiery Scottish fiddlers of our time. She brings to the stage the evocative music of the Highlands in an unforgettable program.
She has graced stages from Scotland's Edinburgh International Festival to America's Kennedy Centre. Her unique style of fiddling has charmed audiences with a vast array of dance tunes, bagpipe marches and ancient Gaelic melodies, reflecting the rich musical tradition of her heritage.
From the earliest known strathspey, to a newly composed lament in the Highland-style, her repertoire is accented with the colourful gift of story-telling and song. Rideout is a three- time U.S. Scottish fiddle champion.
She has recently released a new CD entitled Scottish Reflections. It features stunning solos and ensembles playing not heard on any of Bonnie Rideout's solo albums. Some of the tracks include Seal Songs, reflecting the Silkie myths of seals taking human form for short visits on the land.
Dunblane was written by Charlie Glendinning after 16 children and their teacher were slain by a gunman on March 13, 1996, in Dunblane, Scotland. Reflecting on his composition, Glendinning said, "the tragedy was like an icy blast of winter returning to kill every flowering bud of spring."
Rideout's music is reflective, poignant and plumbs the depths of Celtica. For more information, visit Maggie's Music at www.maggiesmusic.com.

FOSTER & ALLEN
Sincerely and Foster & Allen's Greatest Hits
What can you say about the Irish duo of Foster and Allen that hasn't already been said years ago. Their music is just as timeless, pure, simple and relevant as it was way back then.
The duo has been together over 25 years and have probably lost track of the number of times they've toured Europe and North America.
You can always be assured of hearing your favourite Celtic songs at one of their concerts or on their numerous CD's, whether it was years ago or now. This is music to reminisce by as they play many of the almost-forgotten but best .LavBd-favGuritss..........---...
By CATHOLINE BUTLER
Gordon Smith of Telstar Records says, "What's surprising about Mick and Tony is that in the 25 years of being together, they've never had a serious argument." So, what is the secret of this lasting friendship?
"It is simply down to honesty and sincerity. Not only do these qualities feature strongly in the hearts of these two Irishmen, you can actually hear it in their music. Simple, pure, honest music performed with true sincerity."
Tracks on their new CD entitled Sincerely are: Crystal Chandelier; The Wonder Of You; When The Last Bell Rings; My Love; Lovely Irish Eyes; Young Love; Mockingbird Hill; Three Steps To Heaven; A Little Night Music; Can't Help Falling In Love; Walking The Streets In The Rain; Sweet Baby Mine; Daddy Played Over The Waves; Cottage By The Sea; Save The Last Dance For Me; O'Brien Has No Place To Go; I Can't Get Her Out Of My Mind; My Old Man's A Dustman; Listen To The Children; The Golden Jubilee; and What A Wonderful World.
