Badminton Open to Conclude With Finals Saturday; 17 Entries Vie In Tonight's Mixed Doubles Openers

. Herb Miyasaki's 27 points paced the winners, who led throughout the game, taking a 20-point lead at one point in the second Half. Mucka Makimoto's dead-eye set shots netted the veteran 14 pointer Youngest Toronto player, Dickie Tanaka, was a valuable asset, playing one of his best games to date, using his height to advantage on the backboards.
Shig Murao lived up to expectations and Dan Hirabayashi was hot, but Saints", playniaker Johnny Okamoto was a big disappointment. Murao.and Hirabayashi counted 17 point? each, but that was the extent of the Chicago offensive.
Final score was 73-57. Friday semi-final scores were Toronto 76, Hamilton 30, and Chicago 59, Cleveland 44, Hamilton trounced Cleveland 50-39 in the consolation.
Friday's games were a walk-over for both Chicago and Toronto, both teams conserving energy for the championship game. .-.,-'
