Leder, 1126A College Street. Mrs. J. Leder, mother of the groom; Mrs. I. Pustil, and Miss Edith Leder, were hostesses, receiving fifty guests. 'Mrs. Leder wore a brown silk print sun-dress having a matching fitted jacket, with a corsage of yellow Tea roses. The mother of the bride wore a navy-blue crepe dress with navy-blue bolero, and corsage of pink Tea roses. The honouree wore a stand-up collar, lace bodice, and mauve linen drefcs, fashioned with a corsage of white gardenias. An arrangement of vari-coloured seasonal flowers decorated the table, with white lighted tapers.
Solly, son of Mr. and-Mrs. Abraham Morganstein, 459 Grace Street, was called to the Reading of the Law at iShomrei Shabas Synagogue, Brunswick Avenue. He has a slater, Helen. A drrtner was held the following day at Murray House. Receiving one hundred guests, Mrs. Morganstein wore a navy-blue crepe afternoon dress, with corsage of pink roses. Those who lit the candles were: Mrs. Sarah Morganstein, Osshigton Avenue; 'Mr. and Mrs. H. Yas-kowitz, Manning Avenue; Mr. and Mrs. L. Kate, Rosa Avenue; Mr. and Mrs. H. Weinberg, Shaw Street; Mr. and Mrs. A. Hoffman, Carlitig Avenue; Mrs. H. Kirsh, Vaughan Road; Mr. .and Mrs. I. Calmus, Roxton Road; Mr. and Mrs. A. Sugar, Avenue Road; and the sister of the bar-mitzvah. Solly made a speech in Jewish. Rabbi G. Felder was master of ceremonies. A variety of flowers decorated the tables.
Rabbi and Mrs. Meyer Zimmerman, Major Street, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a family dinner at Murray House. Both are sixty-seven years old and came to Toronto from Russia twenty-one years ago. Since then Rabbi Zimmerman has been in charge of Minsker Synagogue, St. Andrew Street. There are seven children: Mrs. J. Uritzsky (Bertha), of Mos-�ow, Russia; Mrs. H. Siegel (Shirley), of New York; Benjamin, Bathurst . Street; Morris, Turner Road; Aaron, Lippincott Street; Mrs. S. Cass (Lil.) Brook-view Avenue; Irving, of Montreal, Que,; xad eleven grandchildren. Max Zimmerman, Palmerston Boulevard, and Mrs. Dora Siderspn, of Kitchener, Rabbi Zimmerman's brother and sister were also present. Mrs. Zimmerman wore a blue lace dress, designed 'with V-neck-line, long sleeves, and straight skirt, -with corsage of red roses. Mixed flowers and white lighted tapers formed the table decoration. Movies of Jewish interest were shown. 'Mrs. Sarah Katchnel-son, of Ottawa, was a guest. On display was a family tree designed by the Rabbi who is also a composer of music for violin. He is a cantor and all of his sons sing. Miss Lillian Kalles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kalles, 166 Ava Road, fiancee of Benjamin Freedraan, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Freedman, 61 Viewmont Avenue, was entertained at a dinner, at Borochov Centre, by the groom-elect's mother. Receiving ninety guests, the hostess wore a navy-blue lace and nylon sheer ankle-length dinner dress, with corsage of American Beauty roses, trimmed with navy-blue ribbon. The bride-elect's mother, was in an off-the-shoulder black taffeta ankle-length dress, with corsage of American Beauty roses and pink irises, tied with gold ribbon. The honouree wore a strapless, ankle-length, nylon sheer gown, of ivory-colour shaded with brown, having a shirred bodice, bouffant skirt, and brown nykm stole, with corsage of Talisman roses tied with ivory-shaded rrbborx Van-coloured roses and blue tinted carnations, lightly dusted with gold and silver, were on the tables, and composed the table centrepiece, with white lighted tapers on the bride's table. Misses Helen and Roslyn Markus, of Brooklyn, N. Y., were guests.
Min Birdie (Bookie) Trachter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Trachter, 60 Braemore Gardens, whose marriage to Irving Kwart, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. DEATHS
William Pattenick, 67 Whitmore Avenue, died on July 2, at the age of sixty-three. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Lipson Pattenick; three sons, Albert, 25 Blyth Hill Road; Harry, 66 De Vere Gardens; Jack, 67 Whitraore Avenue; and two gramdohildren, Philip Ellis mnd Heather Joy Pattenick. Mr. Pattenick came to Canada^ rom Austria fifty; years 'ago, opened Bis first �oore in Bowmanvitte, later opened a branch in- Cobourg, and their further branches throughout Ontario. (He came to Toronto fifteen- years ago, where he operated three stores. Mr. Pattenick was a Mason of Palestine Lodge. Funeral services were held from McCaul Street "Synagogue, Rabbi Reuben Slonim officiating. Interment was rn Dawes Hoad Cemetery. Shiva at 67 Whitanore Avenue.
Dr. Benjamin Cohen, age fifty-seven years, died suddenly, on Wednesday, July 4, at bis home, 492 Pahnerston Boulevard. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. E. L. Fackenheim. Dr. Cohen was born in Elmer, N. J.t in 1894; and in 1911 he came to Toronto where he received1 his Bachelor of Arts degree, and went on to graduate from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1918. He served with the R.C.M.C. overseas* and remained there to do postgraduate work in Paris, France; and at the Rotunda Hospital, m Dublin, Ireland, where he obtained the degree of Licentiate of Midwifery. In 1920 he began practicing in Toronto, and later became chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital, and also served on the board of directors,*3 and the executive committee. Dr. Cohen was a member of the Board of the Jewish Family and Child Welfare Service; Bnai Brith; and

Green (Ruth), of Newton, Mass.; � grandson, Richard Michael Green; two brothers, Philip A. Cohen, Of Peekskill, N. Y.; Dr. W. A. Cunningham, of Birmingham, Alabama; and a sister, Mrs. William Engel, of Toronto.
