Sunday last, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Schwartz, Munro Park, entertained twenty toys at a cMnner party, in honor of the bar-mitzvah of their son Alfred. The table was decorated with vases of roses. Rabbi Siegel, who was a guest, was presented by Alfred with a gold piece. Mrs. C. S. Lewis and Mrs. S. Paskowitz assisted the hostess.

Hadassah Mascots
The Hadassah Mascots held their third meeting at the home of Mrs. Kouer. Evelyn Cohen was hostess to over thirty-eight Mascots.
Miss Miriam Wolfson, leader of the Chapter, assisted the president. Congratulations were read from the Central Chapter of Hadassah. Mrs. David Dunkelman, president of the Hadassah Council, officially greeted the Chapter and welcomed them into the organization. Membership of the Chapter is closed. The next meeting will be held in the form of a masquerade at the home of Mrs. L. M. Schwartz. The Chapter will hold a soap and towel shower, Sunday, December 2, at the home of Zelda Dunkelman.
The Miriam Chapter of Hadassah held their regular meeting last Monday, when final arrangements were made for the joint meeting of Hadassah at which they will be hostesses.
The Rose Chapter will hold their next meeting at the home of Mrs. L. Adleberg.
The Western Chapter of Hadassah will hold their meeting at the Zionist Institute next Monday afternoon, when final reports of their dance will be presented and final arrangements for the Hadassah booth at the Harvest Festival.
The Toronto Independent Benevolent Society, Ladies' Auxiliary met last Sunday, theirguestbeingMrs. A. Selick. Mrs. Selick presented a plan for the Auxiliary for general Hadassah work.
The opening meeting of the Central Chapter of Hadassah was held at the Zionist Institute last Wednesday evening. Five trees in the Herzl Wald were voted to Mrs. Abramowitz, Mrs. Friefeld and Mrs. L. M. Schwartz, in honour of the bar-mitzvah of their sons. Hereafter the Chapter will hold one afternoon and one evening meeting monthly. At the Chapter grape^ fruit, orange and lemon shower at the Zionist Institute, the hostesses are: Mrs. J^bramowitz, Mrs. L. M. Schwartz and Mrs. Henscher.
The. Herzl Girls will hold a bridge, and nut and raisin shower, Monday, November 5, at the Zionist Institute, in aid of the Harvest Festival.*

Miss Rose Abramovitch, of tl*e Rutfrs^/j,, Girls, spoke about the doings of tht ^ girls' circles. Miss Abramovitch spoke v'-^ about the founding of a dramatic arcfe^' and said the Junior Executive Council had laid plans for the organization of a debating league in Young Judaea.
Mr. Rasminsky, of the Maccabaean Circle, speaking about the boys' circle*, pointed out that the Maccabaean circle^ was the only one to issue a paper, "The Maccabaean" for two consecutive years. The paper is still being issued. ,
Mr. Papernick, athletic director, spoke about the baseball leagues of the year,.; ^ and presented pruses to the Deborah and V J Judas circles, winners of the girls' and boys' leagues respectively. Dancing followed.
