On Wednesday evening, February 13. the 71st Company, Gin Guides, who were working for their second-class examination, had tea with their leader, Miss Alice Lea, at the club house. Miss Evelyn Wilson, their folk-dancing instructor, was a guest.
The musical revue is to be given at Orange Hall, March 12, by the Adelaide Girls and the 69th Toronto Company Girl Guides, Miss Francis Stein will assist in place of Miss Sarah -Gordon as previously announced. A playlet, especially adapted to the Adelaide Girls, has been written by Miss Rita La vine. Miss Lillian Smith, captain of the 69th Guides is directing special work done by her company. Mr. Harry Aronovitx is looking after the musical numbers, and will take equal part with Miss Stein. Miss Esther Freed man and Bertha Etlin will be at the piano.
Brownie Pack No. 28, under Capt. Lillian Smith, had a Valentine party on Sunday afternoon, February 10, at tfre club rooms. A concert, Valentine post office, and games formed the programme. Celia La vine and Becky Rubinoff, Tivany Owls, arranged the gramme. About seventy were present.
On Sunday evening, February 17, the Adelaide Girls enjoyed a weiner supper at the Community House after rehearsal.
DAUGHTERS OF ISRAEL SOCIETY
At the last meeting of the D. of L, the installation of officers was held. Mrs, Allen, president, in behalf of the executive committee, presented Mrs, Form an, retiring president, with a silver tea pot. A gold fountain pen and pencil were given to the secretary.
A Purim masquerade ball will be held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Bathurst Street on Tuesday, March 11. An orchestra has been engaged. Three prizes for the best costumes will be presented.
JUDAH GIRLS
The ludah Girls met at the home of ^Mrs. H. Seltzer. Business session. Four tables of whist were played, the prize-winners being Mrs, H. Benjamin and Miss S. Jacobs.
AM PHI ON CLUB
Sunday, February 10, Mr. David Epstein briefly sketched "The Labour Party and Its Policy" as seen in England, and concluded by moving, "That this body view with favour the existence of the Labour Party as the Party-in-Power in England." Messrs. Shifrin, Harris and Zimmerman spoke for the affirmative, while Rosenstein and King opposed. Motion was carried.

Sunday evening at 8 p.m., the Qub held open meeting and nauaacale at the Zionist Institute, where Professor Bridges, head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto, lectured oa "Dreams."

Bessie Altahuller, guide of the 69th Toronto Company, Girl Guides, came first iq the "most popular girl" contest in Ward 4. and was awarded a platinum wrist watch. The annual masquerade was held by the local Guide Association. Besides* general dancing, an exhibition of folk-dances was given. Among the five companies chosen from the city, was the 69th Toronto Company under Capt. Lillian C, Smith. The dancers were congratulated by^Lady Peilat, Honorary Comisskmer for Canada, and Mrs. H. D. Warren, Chief Commissioner.
The captains of District 69th Toronto Girl Guides, held a muskale at "Red Gables," the home of Mrs, H, D. Warren, Chief Commissioner of Dominion of Canada. Among those' who participated ip the programme were Mrs. Joshua Smith, inother guide of the 69th Toronto Company Girl Guides, who gave a reading, 'The Cup of Civilization," accompanied by Miss Agnes Best. Mr. H. Arron gave several violin selection b by Mendelssohn, accompanied by Mr. Bertram Brown. Lillian C. Smith, Captain of the 69th Toronto Company, assisted.
The 69th Toronto Company Girl Guides held their Court of Honour meeting at the home of the captain. Discussion took . place between patrol leaders and rangers. Tea.
�Y" NEWS
The "Y" girls defeated the strong L.A.A.A. ladies' team of London on Saturday, February 16, at the London Armouries, final score 14-8. Bobby Rosenfeld showed sp^ed. The forwards, Misses Anna Kaplan, Goldie Goodman and Shirley Maldaver, played a splendid game and between them caged five baskets in the first half; Ruth Dunkelman and Gertrude Brenner, defense. The other members of the team consisted of Misses R. Korn, Irene Stein and Shirley Peri man. Mrs, Wolfe accompanied the team as chaperon. After the game the L.A.A.A. banqueted the winning "Y" girls, and still later many of the Jews of London gathered at the Lewis home to meet the visitors from Toronto. The Lewis family of London have entertained the boys and girls often.
"Y" Juniors Defeat Central Seniors
On Saturday, February 16, while the "Y" girls were beating the London ladies, the Y.M.H.A. juniors olayed the Central Y.M.C.A. seniors at Central and won, the score being 18-15.
City Championship Playoffs
The juvenile championships will be the first to be played off. The "Y" juveniles are the winners in the western group; Broadview "Y" winners in the eastern. First game at the Broadview "Y"; second game, "Y" home game, March 5.
