MARRIAGES
Engel-Bloombert
The marriage of Ella, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Bloombert, to Nat Engel, son of Mrs. S. Engel and the late Mr. Engel, took place at Beth Jehuda Synagogue at 6.30, May 2. Rabbi Julius Berger and Cantor Miller officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white georgette with girdle of rhinestones. Her veil of silk net was arranged in cap effect with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and lilies-of-the-valley. The maid of honour was Miss Fannie Scheffer, who wore a gown of rose beaded georgette and carried a bouquet of pink roses, The best man was C. Engel. The bridesmaids were Misses Jennie Kalman, in a gown of silver doth trimmed with red velvet; Rose Engel, orange coloured georgette trimmed with rninestones; Minnie Brown, pink georgette; and Mollie Becker, in orange taffeta. All carried bouquets of sweet peas. The groomsmen were Dr. Isidore Scheffer, Otto Scheffer, Samuel Cohen and Mickey Miller. The mother of the bride wore a black crepe satin gown trimmed with black lace and corsage of sweet peas. The mother of the groom wore a Slack beaded georgette gown with corsage of sweet peas. Dinner was served to 150 guests. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. D. Rubin, of Ottawa; Mrs. B. Greenberg, of New Jersey. Mr. and Mrs. Engel left for Ottawa.
Levitt�Dru ckman
The marriage of Josephine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Druckman, to Dr. Maxwell Levitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Levitt, took place Sunday, May 2, at New Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, Rabbi Berger officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white crepe de chine trimmed with velvet ribbons and rhinestones. Her veil of silk net was arranged in cap effect with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white rose* and madonna lilies. The maid of honour was Miss Sadie Serchuk, who wore a gown of flesh colour crepe de chine, hand embroidered, and carried a bouquet of American B�auty roses. Dr. I. Druckman, brother of the groom, was best man. The bridesmaids were: Misses Sarah Levitt, in salmon colour georgette trimmed with tulle; Fannie Dnickman, pink georgette trimmed with gold lace; Hattie Cohen, strawberry colour panne velvet trimmed with gold lace; and Dora Steinman, green georgette with

filet handwork and ribbon. The groomsmen were Leo Rubinstein, Eli Rosen, Sam Litwln and I. Rockstein. The three little flowef girls, Prances Levitt, Toba Emmer and Gertie Emmer, all wore ruffled frocks of crepe de chine and carried baskets of rose petals. Mrs. Druck-rnan, mother oT the bride, wore a gown of black georgette open work over gold, and corsage of American Beauty roses. Mrs. Levitt, mother of the groom, wore a black sequin gown with corsage of American Beauty roses. Gifts to the bridal attendants were hand-painted scarves to the maid of honour and bridesmaids and military brushes to the best man and groomsmen. Mrs. H. Steinman sang during the ceremony, accompanied by Mrs. Carl Druckman. Irving Steinman sang, accompanied by Abe Steinman.
Simon�Harris
The marriage took place quietly Sunday, May 2, at 3 p.m., of Betty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Harris, 5039 Sherbrooke Street West, to Joseph Simon, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Simon, of Halifax, N.S. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, Dr. Abramowitz officiating, assisted by Rev. Mr. Segjai. The bride was given away by her father and wore a gown of ivory crepe. Her veil was trimmed with lover s knots and was caught to a cap of Brussels lace, with orange blossoms in wreath effect. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies-of-the-valley. Her sister, Miss Estelle Harris, maid of honour, was in flame coloured georgette and carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Fannie Simon, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid and wore a gown of green georgette and carried a bouquet of red roses. Julius Harris was best man. The wedding march was played by Hesse Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Simon left later for Halifax, en route to Bermuda, and on their return will live in Halifax.

The marriage of Fay, daughter of Mrs. Etta Silverstone, to Israel Kasner was solemnized Sunday, May 2, at 6 p.m., at the Auditorium Hall, Rabbi Schoichet officiating. The bride, who was jfiven away by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Chefitz, wore a gown of white satin-faced canton trimmed with silver lace. Her veil wa� of silk net trimmed with silver lace and headdress of silver beads with clusters of orange blosaoms. She carried a bouquet of roses with shower of Hliea-of-tbe-valley.
