She wore a white peau de soie gown, appliqued in lace, which was made with a fitted bodice; scooped neckline; long, pointed sleeves; a panel from the peplum; and a chapel train. A rolled, flat, crown of lace applique with strings of pearl beads placed her bouffant veil of silk tulle illusion; and she carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids, feathered carnations, and stephanotis. Mrs. Joel Zelcer was her sister's matron of honour. She wore a pale turquoise-blue, peau de soie gown which had a chiffon cape of that shade; and a matching pill-box hat. The maid of honour was Miss Carolyn Fruitman, sister of the groom, wearing a pale turquoise-blue gown of peau de soie. beaded in matching pearl-beads and crystals: and had a blue, beaded, headband with veiling. Each wore a turquoise-blue, chiffon gown, with bell-shaped skirt; and jacket; also a matching picture hat. with the crown worked in pearl-beads, and appliqued. They carried cascade bouquets of pale peach-coloured, and turquoise-blue carnations and roses. The flower girl was Heather Kertzer, aged seven years, a niece of the bride. She wore a dress of white organdy over turquoise-blue silk; with a matching headpiece; and carried a miniature, cascade bouquet of turquoise-blue, and white carnations and roses. The best man was Ronald Blatt, an uncle of the groom. The ushers were: Bernard Kertzer, Harold Kertzer, Morris Kertzer, brothers of the bride; Joel Zelcer, brother-in-law of the bride; Jack Levine, Morris Goldhar, and Mark Seigel. The ring-bearer was David Zelcer, aged six years, nephew of the bride. Decoration of the Synagogue consisted of standards of peach-coloured, turquoise-blue, and white chrysanthemums, carnations, and gladioli; and there was an arch of flowers in the centre of the aisle. Mrs. Kertzer, mother of the bride, was attired in a long, peacock-blue, satin, peau de soie gown; with scattered silver bead-work, and a back panel. Her hat was of the same material; and she had a wristlet of white, and silver-tinted roses. Mrs. Fruitman, mother of the groom, wore a peach-coloured, silk shantung gown, with front and back panels outlined in silver beadwork. Her headband was of roses fashioned of the same material; and her-wristlet was of ivory-coloured rosea. Mr. and Mrs. Melvyn Fruitman spent their honeymoon in Jaqlelea, W.I. The bride departed il a pink, silk shantung dress; with an A-line skirt; and matching jacket. Saper. strike this year, the Lefrak organization declared a rent moratorium for all its tenants who were affected by the work stoppage. After World War II, says the New York Herald Tribune, Lefrak established the Lefrak Foundation through which much of his fortune was channeled to charitable institutions.
The Foundation sponsored three hospitals in Israel and contributed to the Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital in Brooklyn where the Harry and Sarah Lefrak Pavilion was dedicated recently.
Mr. Lefrak had served as associate chairman of the Jewish National Fund of America, and was a trustee of the Forest Hills Jewish Center; the Rabbi Dov Revel Yeshiva of Forest Hills; the Beth El Hospital of Brooklyn; the Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital of Brooklyn; and the Haym Salomon Home for the Aged in Brooklyn.
Surviving, besides bis son, are two daughters, Mrs. Harold Meno-witx, and Mrs. Marty N. Lip-schuts; a sister, Mrs. Mollle Al-pert; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His wife. Mrs. Sarah SchwarU Lefrak, died in November.
