The marriage of Miss Ethel Tomarkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Tomarkin, to Isidore Schlaer, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Schlaer, was solemnized Tuesday, June 5, at Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue. Rabbi Abramowitz officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white ivory satin gown with long tight sleeves of tulle and trimme<} with tulle and pearls. Her veil of net was held in cap effect with knots of orange blossoms on either side, and she earned roses and lilies-of-the-valley. The matron-of-honour, Mrs. Saul Tomarkin, sister-in-law of the bride, wore a white satin dress trimmed with American beauty velvet, with a hat to match. She carried red roses with a shower of lilies-of-the-valley. Michael Schlaer, brother of the groom, was best man. Bridesmaids were Misses Jean Tomarkin, sister of the bride, in mauve crepe dress trimmed with French lace and flower at the shoulder; Anna Fagen, mauve Elizabeth crepe in petal style; Clare Kashtan, period gown with pale pink satin bodice and skirt of lace trimmed with lavender French flowers, and Anna Margolese, bouffant dress with bodice of shell pink satin and ruffled skirt of georgette, They all wore mohair hats with shoes to match and carried Ophelia roses. The ushers were Eddie Cossman, Sam Litwin, Manuel Mendel and Joe Tomarkin. Bernice Mauer, train-bearer, wore a green georgette pleated frock over pink silk, with an old-fashioned hat to match. Mrs. Tomarkin, mother of the bride, was in black over a mauve slip, trimmed with a diamond buckle, Mrs. Schlaer, mother of the groom, wore a black lace dress edged with gold. TJiey all carried American Beauties, Ushers were Moe Elenbogen, Max Helfield, Dr. Abe Steinberg and Carl Storfer. Douglas Kugeimass, brother of the bride, the page boy, wore a tuxedo. Mrs. Kugelmass, mother of the bride, wore a beige Chantilly lace dress and Mrs. Laxer, mother of the groom, black georgette trimmed with jjjrey lace; both with corsages of Amencan Beauties. Mrs. M. Weaker, sister of the bride^ wore a bouffant dress in two shades of pink. Mr. and Mrs. Barnett Laxer, of Toronto, attended the ^room. Mrs. A. Levison, of Philadelphia, was there. Mrs. S. Moeel, sister of the groom, wore a navy blue georgette dresa trimmed with rose cut velvet. A dinner and reception was held for 400 guefita. Mr. and Mrs, Laxer are motoring to Saratoga Springs,. New York, Atlantic City and Philadelphia for their honeymoon. They will live at 2541a Hutchison Street.
