BUND LEADER
.(Continued from Page On*) a date to be set by the American military authorities in Germany, and sent to, an area under occupation by U^S. armed forces. He probably will leave as part of a boatload of repatriates, including Germans who all will be turned over to the American military authorities.
The deportation order issued by the Board of Immigration Appeals was based on moral turpitude, which was primarily larceny of the Bund funds, but a series of other circumstances also entered into the case.
Kuhn, native of Munich, was convicted in 1939 of larceny and forgery m connection with the organization's money. Sent to Dan-nemora Prison for a two and one-half to five-year term, he was paroled in July, 1943, and dispatched to Crystal City, Tex., for internment as an enemy alien. In

February, 1944, he was taken to a camp at Kennedy, Tex. Last August he was carried to Fort Stanton, N.M., where he. with others, is confined in quarters designed for dissidents.
The one-time Bund leader came to the United States in 1928 and was naturalized six years later. In 1942, however, his naturalization was cancelled because he committed fraud in taking the oath of allegiance with mental reservations. With this fraud involved, immigration authorities held that Kuhn was never actually an American citizen, and thus when he came back from a visit to Germany in 1938 he returned as an alien.
Fritz Kuhn's wife and son were interned with him at Crystal City, but were returned to Germany on the Grips holm in February, 1944.
