Mr. and Mrs. L. Rosen, Cham-pagneur Avenue, gave a dinner for the immediate family in celebration of the engagement of their only daughter, Betty, to Harold, son of Mr. and Mra. M. Lasanik, St Urbain Street, whose marriage takes place on September 12, at Chevra Kadisha Synagogue. The table held a centrepiece of mixed flowers, coloured candles and two silver candlesticks on each side, trimmed with streamers of white ribbon.
