SEIDEN-KERZNER
The marriage of Bluma Esther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kerzner, 438 Euclid Avenue, to Max Seiden, son of Mrs. Minnie beiden, 160 Borden Street, and the late S. Seiden, took place at Yeshi-vah Torah Chaim Synagogue on August 29, at six o'clock. Rabbi Dr. Velvel Kerzner, of Cape Town, Scuth Africa, uncle of the bride, officiated, assisted by Rabbi A. Kal-mus and Rabbi E. Kerzner. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her white brocaded satin Victorian-styled gown had a long bodice, shirred at the hips, with a hooped skirt and bustle-back. Her headdress was a six-pointed star with a long veil, and she carried a white Bible covered with white gardenias, streamers, and orchids. Miss Rhoda Seiden was maid of honour, dressed in powder-blue satin, fashioned on Victorian lines, with a matching halo, and carried a cascade of Talisman roses. The bridesmaids were Misses Gail Shapero, Carol Greenwald, Sheila Seiden and Esther Kander, of Toledo, Ohio. All wore pale blue taffeta gowns fashioned on Victorian lines, with matching halos, and carried nosegays of Talisman and pink roses. Donna Bergman and Donna Shapero were flower girls, dressed in powder-blue taffeta, with hooped skirts, and pink bonnets and carried baskets of pink rose petals. Mervin Kerzner, brother of the bride, was best man and the ushers were: Norman and Isaac Kerzner, Norman Levi tin, of Toledo, Ohio; *and Frank Seiden. Harvey Bell was ring-bearer, in-full dress. The synagogue decorations were composed of standards of white gladioli and chrysanthemums. Mrs. Kerzner, mother of the bride received, wearing a gold-coloured crepe gown, encircled with tiers, and a corsage of American Beauty roses; Mrs. Seiden, mother of the groom, wearing a gown of Queen's blue, with tiered skirt, and a cor-
sage of Talisman roses. The bride and groom left for a wedding trip to Montreal, Que., the former wearing a pale grey suit, with dark grey accessories, and a corsage of white orchids. They will reside at 488 Euclid Avenue. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. S. Levitin and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Kander and family, Mr. and Mrs. V. Kander, Mr. and Mrs. M. Kander, Mr. and Mrs. I. Kander, all of Toledo, Ohio; M. Fain-bloom and family, of Montreal, Que.; Mr. and Mrs. William Landsman, of Detroit Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. M. Kander, of Windsor; and Rabbi Dr. Velvel Kerzner and son, Israel, of Cape Town, South Africa.
GOLDFORD-SWEIG
The marriage of Joyce Constance Sweig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sweig, 50 Robert Street, to George H. Goldford, son of Mrs. Julia Goldford, 638% Euclid Avenue, and the late H. Goldford, took place on September 12, at half-past five o'clock, at Bais Yehuda Synagogue, Rabbi A. Kelman officiating, assisted by Rabbi N. Kert-zer, of New York, cousin of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her white satin gown had a high scalloped, neckline with yoke of Venetian lace, long lace sleeves tapering to the wrists, and scalloped waist above a bouffant skirt. Her satin headdress was trimmed with lace scallops and beads and fastened to a finger-tip tulle veil, and she carried a cascade of Talisman roses and white bouvardia, and streamers. Mrs. Louis Lansky was matron of honour. Her amber-coloured crepe dinner gown was trimmed with gald^colamed beading, and her headdress was made up of OBtrich feathers to match her gown, and was trimmed with gold beading. Mrs. Lansky carried a cascade of yellow roses, with gold streamers. The bridesmaids were: Misses Frances Ash and Ruth Trachter, and the junior bridesmaids were: Misses Ruth Kertzer and Lyla Stem. Miss Ash wore a robin's-egg bine strapless gown with full old-fashioned skirt; Miss Trachter, a blue taffeta drop-shoulder gown, with full skirt; Miss Kertzer, a
