Samuel Lodge
Nominations Held
H. Nemetz Nominated for Presidency
-That the members of Samuel Lodge No. 668, B. B., take more than ordinary interest in the workings of the Lodge was clearly proved by the number of members present at the last regular meeting on November 18th. The ordinary seating accommodation around the walls was not sufficient to seat all those present and extra'chairs had to be brought in. The meeting opened in due form and regular routine business was gone through. Bro. A. J. Paull of Montreal. Lodge was introduced, and during the evening gave a short address. Three candidates were elected to join the Lodge by initiation and three additional applications were received. Reports were given by the various committees which showed the Lodge to be alive in all its activities.
A niotion was passed reducing the initiation fee of A. Z. A. members who wish to join the senior branch to $5.00.
Nominations for officers were called for when the following were nominated :. president, Harry Nemetz; vice-president, E. M. Goldsmith; recording secretary, Sim A. Goldston; financial secretary, Leo Mahrer; treasurer, Nat Davis; assistant monitors, L. Halperiri and M. Potter; warden, S. Gluckman; outer guard, I. Director; trustees (3 to be elected), L Kostman, Dr. Fox, L. Gorosh and H. Kemp; delegates to Grand Lodge convention; (11 to be elected), J. B. Jafte, J. Ablowitz, N. C. Levin, M, L. Greene,: H. Nemetz, J. L Gorosh, S. A. Goldston, and I. L. Kostman (3 additional to be elected at next meeting). The election will be held at the next meeting on December 2nd.
At the last executive meeting the resignation of Bro. Norman Brown as Degree Captain was accepted with re-' gret. Past President Bro. J. Ablowitz generously consented to-fill the vacancy at the next initiation ceremony to be held on Tuesday, December 16th, with Bro. Louis Gorosh in the Monitor's chair.-.
Members are again reminded that no member is eligible for election or can vote whose dues are not fully paid. "A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse." S. A. G.
