We will have many interesting things to tell you about our boys next week.
They are all splendid and enjoying the glorious weather. They are keep ing themselves, Herman Swartz, Miss Herbert and other assistants as busy as the proverbial bee.
On departing from camp, there were so many lovely written tributes handed in to Mrs. Koenigsberg by the supervisor of the girls, the camp mother and, the girls themselves that without further explanation we will quote them verbatim.
■They speak for themselves. Unfortunately space forbids us from printing all of them.
CAMP SPIRIT If you can, first of all, obey, , And work without a grumble, .If you can from each day to day. Cause no one any trouble.
I If you can always play the game jAnd win without a boasting, ,If you can always lose the same, And after it no gloating.
If you can be real neat and clean And always get your credit, •If you can happily be seen To laugh, and live, and like it.
If you should find one in a fog. And sort of, well, just a clear it. Then: this contribution to the log, "That's the real CAMP SPIRIT."

LETTER
Copper Cove, 1934.
Dear Girls:
I just don't know how to begin, but according to the good old saying. "When in doubt, talk about the weather." I am truly sorry that "Old King Sol" let us down so badly. However we'll hope for a real bright and sunny time next year.
One consolation that we may have from so many rainy days is the fact that we all had time to finish the wool work on our purses. I hope you will be true "busy-bees" when you arrive at home and finish your purses and make good use of them.
Just a few words for the wee tots. Was I such a "big bad wolf" aft«r all? I don't want you to take home this impression of me. After all even mother is stern when you are naughty, isn't she? I think and hope that when next year comes round you will all be elamoririg for "bunk space" at Copper Cove.
Oh you "Dorm Girls"! Why must you try my patience so? But never you mind, I really enjoyed becoming a pal to you all, at least I hope you look upon me as a pal. You have given me many "eye-openers" during your two weeks at camp and I only hope that you have profited as much as 1 have. As 1 do not profess to be a literary ace, 1 think I should call quits. However, may I leave this parting advice— An arm of aid to the weak, A friendly hand to the friendless, Kind words so short to speak, But whose echo is endless, The world is wide, these things are small.
They may be nothing, but they are all.
Sunday next, August i9th is the big day in Young Judaea circles. The fireworks will begin at 7:45 p.m. promptly. Each member is urged to bring his bombardment of nominees. What, you don't know what we're driving at? It's none other than election day for Vancouver Young Judaea.
In addition to the elections, the dramatic society is scheduled to put on a play that advance reports say is very flattering. It is entitled the "Bathroom Door" and the plot is as hilarious as the title suggests,
*0n Saturday night, August 11, a very successful beach party was held at Second Beach.
How is your tennis game? If it Is not up to normal you have only a few days to polish it up. Play for the beautiful cup is scheduled to begin any moment. Contestants will receive further information at a later date.
YOUNG JUDAEAN DELEGATES
Vancouver Young Judaea have at last achieved their greatest ambition, a representation at the National and Western Conference to be held in Saskatoon shortly. Two delegates will make the trip, Dave Fouks and Harold Rome. Besides representing Vancouver in the sessions these two will team up in a debate against Saskatoon in competition for the famed Baltzan Memorial trophy. They will also enter into the oratorical contest for the Shumiatcher cup.
The two delegates will be competing against a considerably older and more experienced field but the Y. J, feel confident of their ability.

Very fine things are being said in the Yiddish press about American Rabbis, especially the conserivative and reformed.
So M. Danzis, is a recent issue of the Tog, comments on the fact that American Yahudim were never as anti-nat'ionalistic or anti-Zionistic as Yahudim in other parts of the world. Schiff and Marshall fought for Jewish minority rights in Europe, Schiff supported certain Zionist institutions, and even Rosenwald, who declared that he did not "believe in Zionism", supported the Haifa Polytechnicum.
Reform rabbis have turned en masse to Zionism, some of its bitterest opponents being now ardent workers. This change came about after the members of the congregation had accepted the Zionist programme. So, la this case, "the spiritual leaders" did not lead their congregants but followed far behind.
At the recent conference of the Rabbis their Zionist orientation appeared more clearly than ever before. The Rabbis adopted radical resolutions condemning war and social reaction-ism.

Reb Bunem was a chassidic rabbi who laid the greatest of stress on intention, and was mortally afraid of hypocrisy, especially intellectual and unconscious. One day he met a chassid who would fast from Sabbath to Sabbath and wore a sack next to his skin.
Rub Bunem did not like his attitude, and said to him, "The Evil One can lure even such a man as you into a .^ack."
