Women's Division for 1967 United Jewish Appeal campaign got off to a positive start at a Canvasser's Clinic held Monday morning at the home of Mrs. Alan Frome.
More than 50 canvassers turned out to receive a briefing on the urgent needs of this year's campaign. Discussants were UJA women's chairman, Mrs. Alex Cristall, and UJA executive director, Leo Marcus.
As a prerequisite to actual canvassing, many women present at ; the Clinic indicated their tangible i support for the campaign by making on-the-spot increased do nations.
The UJA Women's Division, executive has urged that all canvassers complete their cards immediately, so that funds can be transmitted at the earliest possible moment to critical areas in Israel and Europe.
Next function in the Women's Division Campaign will be _ "Wind Up" Brunch on April 4 at the home of Mrs. S. Gould, 1487 Minto crescent. Conveners for this event will be Mrs. A. Gold and Mrs. S. Rosen. Canvassers are requested to return their completed cards at this wind-up event.
Chairman of the Women's Division, Mrs. Alex Cristall, has announced the following appointments to Campaign leadership: chairman of G-Day, Mrs. J. H. Quastel; co-chairman of G-Day, Mrs. David Silvers; North and West Vancouver chairman, Mrs. Morris Silverman; New Westminster chairman, Mrs. Louis Lesk; chairman of Womanpower, Mrs. Leo Marcus.
