The Jewish community will host its Folkfest Open House this Sunday, Jiine 25, 1 to 8 p.m. at the Centre. The event is being held in conjunction with Folkfest *7S.
Folkfest originated in 1974 for the puirpOse of featuring the performing arts of Canadians from all ethno-cultural backgrounds. Coordinators of the Folkfest Open House expressed hojie that the June 25 event will promote good 'WiUaiid a greater awareness Of Jewish history and culture;;v:.-;-'.;-';c::;,.:;^

MIZRACHI ELECTS NATIONAL PRESIDENT
MONTREAL - Miriam Stern, of Montreal, was elected national president of Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamizrachi Women*s organization at the 26th national convention held in Ottawa last nionth.
The convention drew a record attendance of^ delegates from chapters across Canada and featured intensive workshop^, led by professionals in their respective fields.

BUCHAREST—The reconstruction of Bucharest's main syaa-gogue, the Choral Temple, has been concluded and the 120-year-old shul damaged during last year's earthquake opened its gates recently.
The Federation of Jewish Communities in Rumania annoiimc^ that two other syniagogues in Bucharest, Malbim and Eshuva-tova, hiatve also now been restored and are ready to welcome worshippers.
The cost of restoration was estimated at $1 niillidn, which was met by the Federation.
