ByF.SACHSER BONN — West Germany's Justice Ministry has rejected charges of negligent investigation and prosecution of Nazi criminals over the years, following the screening of "Turning a blind eye to murder," on the British Broadcasting Corp. in London.
Recalling statements by Karl Heinz-Hansen, a Social Democratic member of the Bonn Parliament, a Ministry spokesman said that it was not true that the Government had not beeii interested in the material availiable in the American documentation centre on former Nazis in Berlin.
He emphasized that aU relevant material held by the Americans had been checked years ago by West Berlin's prosecutor-general and the Central Agenpy for the Investigation of Na^ Crimes at Ludwigsburg.
The Government (fid not know of any material bearing on N^azi

crimes which had not been properly checked, he stressed.
The spokesman also pointed :out thatj in reply to the authorities' appeal in 1964, a large amount of information on Nazi crimes had been received froni many organizations and countries^ including Britain, France, Holland, the United States, Poland, Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union.
"The Federal Government will continue to do everything in its power to acMeve a justiatonenien^ pf crimes committed during the era of Nazi terror," he declared.
Government circles also sharply rejected Heinz-Hansen's charge that it was coyering up West German personalities:' who were former Nazis.,
Appealing . before the pariiamentary faction of his paity v to answer questions about his> television statements, Heinz-Hansen was said to have denied charging the Bonn Government with this.
Later* a party spokesman said that there would be further inquiries and a copy of the film had been requested for a check.
A branch of the Nazi party in West Berlin, the Ortsgruppe Berlin derNSDAP, has been dissolved by the police. Eighteen people, aged between 17 and 49, including two women, were temporarily arrested and will appJear in court on conspiracy charges.
In Oberwesel^ near Mainz, a new National l^cialist party of Germany was recently formed. A local daily newspaper published an advertisement for members earlier this year.
Replying to a question in the Bonn Parliament about the increasing scale of literature glorifying Nazism and the Second World War, a Government spokesman said that this literature
greatly damaged West Germany's reputation abroad and the Government would speed up legal action against such material.
