JEWISH NATIONAL FUND prepares residential infrastructure for projects housing Soviet Jewish immigrants in Israel. Infrastructure for building oil ,000 units has already been established in Eilat alone. Aiding Russians is new focus for two-section JNF High Holy Days Appeal this year.
B.B. hears of media ethics
Province editor-in-chief Jan Haysom will speak on media ethics during the opening meeting of B'nai B'rith, Lions Gate Vancouver Lodge. It will take place 8 p.m., Monday Sept. 17 at B'nai B'rith manor, 1260 Howe St.
Haysom was promoted to editor-in-chief at the Province in 1989 after three years on city desk at the Sun and four years as managing editor at the Province.

TAU lab to honor Erich Vogt
Erich Vogt, director of the TRIUMF centre at the University of B.C., has had a planned laboratory at Tel Aviv university named after him.
Members of the university's Intermediate Energy (iroup
