THE FISHERMiN
, A MEMBER OF THE B.C.F.P.A. WRITES A LETTER TO ''THE FISHERMAN"
Dear Friend:
As I am an interested member of the B.C.F.P.A., Upper Fraser Branch, and an old reader of "The Fisherman", I wish to give the fishermen some reliable news.
I ordered a bundle of papers and I received them last Friday. We held a meeting that same day and it was a good opportunity for me to sell the papers. But an article on page 5 headed "Whither Mr. Rolley?" caused bad feelings. The matter was taken up for investigation at the meeting. Our branch has 8lways been on friendly terms with the P.C.F.U. and I hope they always will be. But there should be no misunderstanding between two organizations.
We don't doubt the sincerity of Mr. Rolley but we do believe that through his inexperience in union affairs the canners used him to their advantage. They rushed him to Rivers Inlet by plane, to sign a price contract without first meeting his brother fishermen, which caused great resentment amongst the fishermen of both Inlets.
We hope he has loarnod a lesson for the future, and that he know.s the fishermen come first.
For unity's sake, let us stop bicker-) ing and correct this matter. At the same time, I wish to renew my bundle order of "The Fisherman", and I hope it will give us more good material to read.
Yours truly,
PETER CORDONI, Aug. 16/37. FORT LANGLEY, B.C.

MILLERD RAISES PRICE ON BLUEBACKS
A telegram from Campbell River informs us that Millerd has raised the price of Bluebacks half a cent. No doubt, he did this because Bumphries didn't drop his prices. Perhaps Millerd wishes he had an agreement?
