Sam Sable, Ben Woitsman, Jack D. Pearlstein Address Eitz Chaim Rally^
Sam Sable, newly elected president of the United Jewish Welfare Fund, was guest speaker at a recent Eitz Chiaim Combined Campaign workers' dinner, attended by many prominent communal leaders.

Two Toronto women qualified as "Builders of Israel" through their purchase of $3,000 in Israel Bonds, which provides a home for an immigrant family in Israel. Sponsor pins were awarded to 127 Women's Division members who became Sponsor women through their individual purchases of $1,000 Israel Bonds in the I960 campaign.
The Pioneer Women of Toronto are presenting "A Night in Israel" Rally on Wednesday evening, December 7th, at Adath Israel Synagogue, as the climax event of their participation in the 1960 Israel Bond Campaign. Featured artist of tho evening will be Mr. Mort Freeman, gifted young American baritone who has dedicated himself' to spreading the songs, music and culture of early America and Israel. The world's aspirations, struggles, humor, pathos and longings are truly reflected in the stories-in-song that he has gathered from many lands. This gala evening i» planned as the Pioneer Women's tribute to Israel, on the thre^old of the Bar Mitxvah Year.

TEMPLE SINAI DRAMATIC GROUP
"They Knew What They Wanted" — a comedy in three acts by Sidney Howard has been chosen by Stage 210 of Temple Sinai as their 1960 dramatic presentation. The play, directed by Harry J. Pollock, will be performed in the Temple Auditorium on December 1st, 3rd, and 4th.

Mr. Sable gave special praise to the Eitz Chaim Schools, who are educating in their 3 branches close to 1,100 students, in the true spirit of Torah-Judaism.

Mr. Ben Wortman, the Caliri-•paign Chairman, in a very moving address expressed his willingness, to aid in this major effort of Eitz Chaim. "I consider my position a great challenge" Mr. Wortsman stated. "$350,-000.00 has to be raised in this Combined Campaign, and I am confident that the Jewish.community of this city will help
PIONEER WOMEN EVENT
Omna Club of Pioneer Women will hold a cocktail party at the home of Mrs. Allen Lean, 103 Baycrest Avenue on December 4th sts a fund-raising event for club projects.
HADASSAH HONORS LIFE MEMBERS
A Champagne party honoring Life Members of Toronto Hadassah will take place on Wednesday, November 30th, at the home of Mrs. Harry Fogler, 130 Old Forest Hill Itoad.

Mr. Jack D. Pearlstein, Go-Treasurer of the Campaign with Mr. Sam. Wortsman, shared with thie assembled campaign workers some of his experiences in communal leadership. Mr. Pearlstein, who is vice-president of the United Jewish Welfare Fund, and a communal leader of great distinction, provided all
gathered witH practical and encouraging advice.
"And now gentlemen," Mr. Pearlstein concluded in his remarks, "it is up to you to make the Jewish Community of Toronto aware of its responsibility to Eitz Chaim, and stimulate them to take an active part in sharing the burden of its holy work."
