Florida offers same services
summer at
TALLAHASSEE —
Most people think •'Florida" in winter. But now summer is giving winter a run for its money.
Although the sunshine state has catered to and pampered winter visitors for 75 years, summer vacationers can find equal services offered by nearly ever>- facility — at a
substantially lower cost. And vacationers who make the trip in June. July or August discover what Florida residents have always known: the summer temperature is surprisingly moderate.
Being a peninsula, Florida is naturally air-conditioned by cooling sea breezes. Brief showers in
the late afternoon bathe the air and usher in cool evenings.
The hundreds of miles of inviting beaches are still there in summer while water sports, more_than "300 golf courses and couTP tiess tennis facilities complement the beach action.
Spectator sports such as auto racing, jai alai. sail-
ing and power regattas, thoroughbred and greyhound racing, professional football, championship golf and major league baseball provide countless alternatives for relaxation^ Fishing in the surf and the many inland lakes and streams can be a great way to spend a day.

Artpark has many attractions
LEWISTON, N.Y. —
A day at Artpark in Lew-iston. New York, could mean enjo>nng a symphony or jazz concert, a ballet or a lively musical performed by top-calibre artists for the price of a $3 ticket.
But it could well include helping to paint a giant mural, taking lessons in how to apply clown makeup, catching a puppet show or taking part in a cooking workshop.
There's also a chance to watch artists at work —
Conference planned for the establisbment of Jewish hall of fame
JERUSALEM —
The First International Conference of Who's Who in World Jewrj' will convene in Jerusalem from Jan. 11 through the 22, 1978. The main purpose of the conference is the establishment of the Jewish Hall of Fame, a unique museum and cultural ins-thution to be constructed in Jerusalem.
Included in the lengthy listof international Jewish celebrities which make up the Hall of Fame's honorary advisory board are Abba Eban, Saul Bellow, Leonard Bernstein, Senator Jacob Javits, Golda Meir, Yehudi Menuhin. .Artur Rubenstein. Jonas Salk. and Marie Syrkin.
Eiiyahu Tal. honorar>-secretar>' of the founding assembly of the Jewish Hall of Fame, has described the project as' 'aimed at educating the world, including world Jewry, in the greatest contribution made by the Jews to world civilization."
"The museum will not be full of grimacing statues." Tal continued. "A visitor will pull a lever and hear music by Mendelssohn or Gershwin or see slides of masterpieces by Jacques Lipschitz or Marc Chagall."

All Artpark's outdoor programs are free. The park itself offers great fishing, picnicking, play areas, and hikes along the Niagara gorge.
Located on 200 acres of New York state parkland along the Niagara River, Artpark. both a public park and a centre for the arts, is maintained under the jurisdiction of the New York state office of Parks and Recreation.
This is the centre's fourth season and the Artpark Theatre, a 2.400-seat facility with a seating lawn for an additional 1.500 people, has an impressive schedule of performances for the months of July, August and September.
