A PRAYER FOR PEACE
We invoke the consciousness within us of God, the "Great Spirit," "I Am," "Essence of Creation." During 15 minutes of stillness, while we ask for peace in our day, effortlessly, we gegin to feel compassion taking the place of anxiety. A sense of acceptance and commitment with our surroundings and quiet gratitude. This seed spreads from one to the other and becomes global peace.
The power of one abundant in each of us alone is the path to global peace. Make us aware in our stillness of the need for tenderness and kindness toward those in our homes and wherever we encounter others. May we say, "world peace begins with me. Have I contributed today with one kind, unselfish deed?"
