Dubliner Bob Geldoff is estimated to be £5 million richer after the sale of the Planet 24 television production company to Carlton Communications. The former member of the Boomtown Rats, who is probably better known for his Live Aid fundraising activities, formed Planet 24 along with two colleagues in 1992 and since then it has produced some of Britain's most popular television shows.
