Stars Meet in Bray for St Patrick's Day Concert
BRAY - Some of the biggest names in Ireland, including the Coirs, U2's Bono, Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones and others came together in Bray's Ardmore Studios recently to record an early St. Patrick's Day concert that will be broadcast across North America on March 17.
The concert was filmed for the American music channel VH1 and, despite being held in the Garden County will be called "The Corrs - Live in Dublin."
The recording was a private affair restricted to family and friends of the musicians involved and may later be released as an album or even a DVD. The musicians were accompanied by a full orchestra.
Among the musical treats were Ronnie Wood playing Jimi Hendrix's Little Wing, and a Bono and Andrea Corr duet of Nancy Sinatra's Summer Wine.
ROGER BUSTON (above right) with his new band shown at Kelly O'Bryans on West Broadway. Other members include Bruce Mathisen, Brian Taylor, Lorren Warr, Chris Williscroft (not shown) Mike Kelly and Patrick Ernst. Roger is a former member of The Quenchers which has now disbanded. Watch for upcoming events featuring Roger and his new ensemble.
