By ERIN MULLAN Ceol binn a bhaint as an saoll This is the time of year when the sun and the rain start to fight for dominance of the shortening days, and we all know the rain is soon to win in a big way. Never mind the gray skies and to hell with the drizzle! This is also the time of year for feasting and there's a bounty of music to enjoy this fall.

Irish travellers cause flight scare
Two Irish buskers, travelling on British passports, were responsible for a Naples to London flight being diverted to Rome. Shortly after takeoff cabin crew noticed a smell of petrol which was traced to a small generator underneath the scat of one of the musicians. The authorities at Naples Airport are investigating how a generator was allowed on board an aircraft as hand luggage.
