Fifth Anniversary Celebrations at Celtic Treasure Chest
VANCOUVER - Steve and Lil McVittie opened their first British store the Celtic Treasure Chest Bakery, Deli and Gift Shop at 5639 Dunbar Street in Vancouver on August 4, 2003.
Two years later, Steve and Lil saw a need to expand with British bakery products and they purchased the White Rock location with a full in-house bakery. The Celtic Treasure Chest Bakery and British Imports opened its doors on October 15, 3005.
Since then, they have added to their group of companies with Shamrock, Rose and Thistle Importers and Distributors, which imports British products directly from the U.K.
The British Isles Wholesale, doing business as the British Isles in Canada, wholesales British products and their own line of British-style sausages to Irish and British pubs and a number of British retailers in B.C. and Alberta.
In their plans for the future, they plan to open a cash and carry wholesale to expand the demand for British products at the wholesale level.
Since opening the first store in Dunbar, Steve McVittie has been involved with the Vancouver St. Patrick's Day parade as grand

parade marshal, he has chaired the annual British Invasion at White Rock each September, and organized the annual Great Irish Stew challenge every year to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Steve is currently president of the White Rock Business Improvement Association (BIA), a director in The Royal Society of St. George and continues to be active by supporting all Celtic groups in their annual fundraising efforts.
Steve and Lil would like to extend a warm invitation to their many friends who were present at the launch of their first store, alongwith all their past, present, and future customers to join with them in celebrating their fifth anniversary.
You're invited to join them at the Celtic Treasure Chest Bakery, Deli and Gift Shop at 5639 Dunbar Street in Vancouver on August 4 to help celebrate. For more information, call (604) 261-3688._
