(Translated sugar: stir until sugar i� dissolved. Sprinkle with 3 envelopes Fleischmann's Fast Rising Drr Yeait. I>et stand 10 minutes. I 11 F.N �fir well.
Add lukewarm milk mixture and mir in 2 *cl!-beaten *ggi. 4 c-niaraschino cherrv svrup and I tsp. almond rttract. 5m fn 4 c on<e-�ifted bread flour: beat until �rm*>rh. Work in 2 c seedless raisins. I r currants. I c. chopped randied peels. I c. sliced maraschino cherries and 1 c. broken walnuti. Work in c (about) once-sifted bread flour. Knead on lightly-floured board until smooth and elastic Place in greased bowl and
grease top of dough. Cover and set in a warm place, free from draught. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Punch down dough, turn out on lightly-floured board and divide into 4 equal portions; cut each portion into 20 equal-sued pieces, knead each piece into a smooth round ball. Arrange 10 small balls in each of 4 greased loaf pans (4y2" x 81/2^ and grease tops. Arrange remaining balls on cop of (hose in pans and grease tops. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. FISH BALLS
Bone about two pounds of sucker and pike and chop ii fine. While continuing to chop it, add one onion, pepper and salt to taste, about one-quarter pound bread-crumbs, and two beaten eggs. Mix. Form into small balls. Drop into boilino water, which has come to a boil with at least one onion, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about two and one-half hours, in covered pot.

one-half cup shortening two cups sifted pastry flour one-hali teaspoon baking soda
three-quarters teaspoon baking powder
one-quarter cup sour milk one and one-half cups sugar
</^vvo eggs well beaten one teaspoon vanilla one cup mashed bananas
one-quarter teaspoon salt
Cream shortening; add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix and sift together dry ingredients; add to shortening mixture, the two mashed bananas, sour milk, and dry ingredients, alternately, stirring gradually after each addition. Pour batter on large greased cake tin, and bake for about twenty-five minutes in 350 degree oven. Allow to cool before serving. A few drops ef lemon juice will sour the milk.
