A sixteen-year-old Israeli conductor, first recipient of the Ida Hillson Schwartz Exchange Fellowship, will be among the 450 students who will enroll at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., this fall. Eliyahu Ahilea of Jerusalem, gifted musician and promising scientist, was directed to the two-year-old Jewish-sponsored University by Leonard Bernstein, leading composer and conductor who serves Brandeis as a member of its Educational Policies Committee for Music. Mr. Bernstein met the youth while, in Israel recently on a conducting tour. The Schwartz Fellowship^ established at Brandeis last year by Elias Edward Schwartz, of Somerville, Mass, with hia four � children in honor of his late wife, provide* for an Israeli, student to spend a year at Brandeis, or for a Brandeis student to study in Israel. A talented conductor, Eliyahu Ahilea has twice conducted the Orchestra of the Israel Broadcasting Service, both on the air and publicly. He is the winner of the only scholarship awarded by the Israeli government to student music conductors, and, in addition to his outstanding musical gifts,
