Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Nacht, of Port Goquitlam, wish to announce the engagement of their only daughter, Toby Lee, to Michael, only son of Mrs. Chaya Yakov, of Ma'ayan Zvi, Chof Ha-carmel, Israel. The wedding will take place in Israel Sept. 29. The young couple will reside at Ma'ayan Zvi, a kibbutz on the Mediterranean south of Haifa. « « *

Barbara Lanio to wed Dr. MelviK Schloss
Mr. and Mrs. Esmond Lando take pleasure in annoimcing the engagement of their daughter, Barbara Jill, to Dr. Melvin David Schloss, son of Mr. William Schloss and the late Mrs. Schloss. The wedding will take place Saturday, Sept. 23, at Beth Israel synagogue, with Rabbi Wilfred Solomon officiating.

On Sunday, July 2, over 50( relatives and friends gathered at Schara Tzedeck synagogue for a ceremony uniting Diane Mann and Gary Averbach in marriage. Rabbi Marvin Hier officiated, assisted by Cantor Abraham Deutsch.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Mann and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Averbach.
Bows of hot pink satin ribbon adorned pews, together with glads, carnations and spray mums, in shades ranging from pale pink blending into hot pink. Showers of garlanded green, foliage, bedecked the altar and standards of glads and spray mums in hot pink shiades decorated the pulpit. A special heart of hot pink
spray mums was set at the en^ trance of the pulpit..^ ;
All men in > attendance were presented with^ ^ burgundy > yar-mulkas.to wear.
JolviGarthson was best- man with Barry Caiarles, NeiEGolden, Gerald Goldsteihi Marshall Letcher, Michael Levy, Marvin Mal-kin and Joel Wenert acting as
ushers. AH wore burgundy dinr ner jackets with pink buttdniers.
The bridegroom r was joined down the aisle and escorted to the alter by his parents.
Maid of honor, Leanne Averbach, sister of the groom, wore a Spanish-styled hot pink peau de sole gown with ruffled neckline and raised hemline, falling into a slight train. Her headpiece consisted of a single hot pink rose with trailing ribbons and she carried a Melisne Parasol with pink glad flowerettes.
Bridesmaids, Carol Arnett, Faye Bialoglowsky, Wendy Golden, Charlene Goldstein, Annette Greene, Renee Mann and Janice Swartz wore identical gowns to the maid of honor and carried basket bouquets of pink glad blooms.
Shelly Spevakow and Micki Dee Seltzer were flower girls, gowned in alternating layers of
white and hot pink dotted swiss and carrying white baskets of rose petals.
Mrs. M. Omansky of Los Angeles, grandmother of the groom, was escorted in the wedding procession by her grandson, Robert Golden.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She was radiant in a fitted sheath with jewelled collar and jewelled lily point sleeves. The gown was jewelled and. pearled to the waist and as part of the veil, a floor length Spanish Mantilla cascaded from the shoulders,^ entrain with• jewelled: and daisy!
scallops. She carried a fan of white lace with pink and white roses tied with lover's knot ribbon.
The bride*s mother chose a light pink lace and ribbon net gown over hot pink satin, encrustedi with jewelled stones and pearl and covered by a pale pink chiffon coat with self-embossed chiffon roses studded, with pink au rora boiu:ealis. Her headpiece was a single pale pink chiffon flowe with pink lilies of the valley an white seed pearls. On an evenin bag of the same material as the gown was a spray of pale green cynibidium orchids.
The groom's mother selecte an Empire gown of hot pink chif fon over silver lame,, gentls^ draped and outlined with crys' tals. A crown of pink stephanotis encircled with lame leaves wa entwined through her hair. Sh carried a corsage of red rose buc on a handmade purse matchin_ the gown;
The grandmother of the groom^ wore a pale pink A-line chiffoi gown with matching stole with a spray cf roses as her corsage.
Dinner and dancing in the' Wosk auditorium followed th ceremony. Max Goldstein, a uncle of the bride, acted as master of ceremonies and toast to th bride was proposed by Jack Spar ^ ton, another of her uncles.

For travelling, the bride chose a fitted sheath of heavy white silk emblossomed in violet, mauve and blue flowers, with matching coat.
The couple are honesrmooning in Banff,: Toronto, Montreal and varioiis cities throughout the United States. They will make their liome^n Vancouver. .
