With registration now under way and numerous enquiries received from outside the Greater Vancouver area, present indications point to Camp Miriam enjoying its most successful season in its 25 years," stated Mrs. J. Radman, camp committee chairman.
Chairman of the finance committee. Bill Ornstein, announced that there is a 10 percent reduction for thoise children registered before March 31 and a further five percent discount for registration of more than one child in a family.
Located just 20 miles from Vancouver on Gabriola Island, Camp Miriam, officials stated, is both a vacation spot and an educational institute and has earned the reputation of being one of the finest Jewish camps in Canada.
Parents are being urged to avoid vdisappointments by registering their children immediately with camp registrar Mrs. D. Tobin at 688-6815, 909 W. 19th Ave., Vancouver B.C. .

JUDAIC COURSES
NCSY SHABBATOH HHDINSiATni
Fifty members of Vancouver N.C.S.Y. travelled to Seattle last weekend for an N.C.S.Y. Intercommunity Shabbaton with 125 teenagers representatives from Portland, Seattle, Edmonton and Vancouver participating.
Theme of the Shabbaton was "The Golden Calf to the Modern Teenager, Past, Present and Future." The event was highlighted by "Ruach", study-sessions on the laws of Purim and Ethics of Our Fathers. Prayer services were held in the Sephardic congregations on Friday evening and Shabbat morning and in the Ashk-enazic congregation Shabbat afternoon and evening.
All services were led by the teenagers who also read the Torah and chanted the Haftorah. Friday evening's program was highlighted by a Kumsitz at the home of Larry Russak, president of Seattle N.C.S.Y. A Dvar Torah was presented on the Seminar theme by Rabbi S. B. Levitan. After the Sabbath morning services and la Sephardic luncheon two psycho-dramas were held on Interdating and Soviet Jewry. On Saturday evening an inter-city basketball game saw Seattle defeat the Vancouverites-34 to 17.
The weekend came to an end with Shacharit services and breakfast Sunday morning and a farewell address by Harvey Tannenbaum.
