The last word goes to Rabbi Shlomo Riskin (JWB Shab-bat Shalom columnist) . We reported {JWB June 5) that the famous teacher of Chumash Nechama Leibo-witz was going to have to teach in the Rabbinical Seminary for the Diaspora at Efrat, Israel from behind a screen . .The same news report we received was commented upon in the London Jewish Chronicle to whom Rabbi Riskin sent a letter to the editor' noting that Leibowitz would continue to teach in the future as she has-in the past —'not behind any screen".. Riskin wrote: "The only rabbinical authority whom I consulted was the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Shapiro, who concurred with the' decision that it is absolutely permissia-ble for Nechama Leibowitz to teach ToraK to our rabbinical students."

A great stoty thai remains from early summer due to lack of space* Young Israeli Rabbi MichoeJ Miller has been around the world and back a few times over in aid of an Israeli; orphanage for Jewish children ^rom Iran But this summer When he was in Victoria he was so deeply touched by the respectful way he was treated by an assistant bi;anch manager of Yorkshire Trust in< the Island city that he told the story to Lazar's Boss . . . The manager (not Jewish) understood instantly when Miller needed a place for afternoon prayers. The Yorkshire Trust official kept clients waiting and offered his office in privacy.. : Meanwhile, the same assistant manager sent out to Woodward's Food Floor for a meal of kosher roast ehicken complete with brand new plastic cutlery and plates . .: eventually his Victoria host put Rabbi Miller in touch

New Hatikvah fund marks Li I and Ben Wosk's 50th wedding anniversary
Camp Hatikvah has established the Lil and Ben Wosk 50th Wedding Anniversary Commemorative fund in honor of the forthcoming anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wosk.
The Wosks are long-time supporters of the camp; Mrs. Wosk wasinstrumental in the establishment of the Camp Hatikvah Parents'association in the early 1960s and was its_ first president. The organiza-" tion provided support and improvements to the Camp when it was owned by the Zionist organization of Canada.
Two generations of the Wosks' children and grandchildren have attended Camp Hatikvah as both campers and staff members. Judith Dodek (riee Wosk) has been the Chairman of the camp's program committee for the last three years. As a consequence Mr. and Mrsi Wosk decided to commemorate their forthcoming 50th Wed-
ding Anniversary by contributing $10,000 toward upgrading of the camp.
Camp Hatikvah, in turn, has decided to establish the Commemorative fund in honor of the Wosks and plans to use the fund for planned capital improvements.
Since Camp Hatikvah became a community-owned Camp in 1979, its local leadership has endeavored to repair and improve the facilities. Dr. Arthur Dodek, chairman of the long-range planning , committee, announced "In 1988, with the generous contribution of Mr. and Mrs. Wosk and our other fundrais-ingefforts, weplan to remodel the kitchen and expand the dining hall."
Joel Buller and Gary Cohen, co-chairmen of the fund raising committee announced that they will be undertaking various projects over the next 18 months to raise funds for updating dining hall facilities."These facil-
ities are 30 years old and need to be revitalized. We hope that the parents and grandparents of our campers will get behind this project in true Vancouver fashion," said Buller.
Those who wish to contribute to the commemorative fund in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Wosk's 50th Wedding Anniversary may send their cheques payable to: Camp Hatikvah Foundation, 950 West 41st Avenue, Vaur cOuver, V5Z 2N7. The camp will send a card of congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wosk on behalf of each contributor.
