Now called Jewish Connections (formerly Contacts and Connections), the service had an immediate response to its animal JWB article and ad and responses have continued to stream in ever since, said Turner.
"Every group in the community has been very supportive. Everyone's for it," Turner told J/ieA/Wle/wj. -The little band of organizers has been busy mailing out application forms on a daily basis. Along with each application goes an extensive and carefully designed question-aire. /. ■ ' -V,, \'

A highly trained, licensed psychologist hasj been hired to oversee the mat^Jiing. He has spent five years as a family and marriage counselor. For ten years he worked with Big Brothers where he matched up more than 5,000 sets of "brothers."
Turner has contacted every major local Jewish organization, including the Louis Brier and the JCC, and all the local
rabbis. He has been at ev^ry singles function^ in the last -month and will be offering six month's free membership in Jewish Cohnections as a dOOr prize at the upcoming Getting to Know You Dance to be held at the B.C. Club.
The group next plans to extend their activities to Seattle (25 people from Seattle attended the recent Westeoast Connection dance at the Wes-tin Bayshore).
