E. Rosenberg and Rabbi D. Monson, assisted by Cantor J. Cooper. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her gown was of white, silk organza and Chantilly lace. It was made with a lace, criss-cross bodice, caught at the waist with embruhlery of s&fc-

#Ben Lappin, of Toronto, Ont, member of the faculty of the Social Work School in that city, was awarded the 1969 Harry L, Lurie Fellowship, it waa announced by Stanley C. Myers, of Miami, chairman of the fellowship award committee. He will receive a grant of $1,600 to enable him to secure his doctorate in social work. His studies will include a project on the development of suburban area councils in metropolitan Toronto. The Harry L. Lurie Fellowships were established through voluntary gifts by friends and colleagues of Mr. Lurie in tribute to his service of almost two decades as executive director of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, from which he retired in 1954. He was active in the social work field for over 40 years. The Council is administering the ptogiam. Mr. Lappin is

They had small bouquets of pink roses and pink carnations. Mollie Sue Cornblum, niece of the groom, was flower girl. She wore a long dress of silk pink organza over satin, with a bouffant hooped skirt; also a pink organza and satin bandeau adorned with flowers on velvet bows; and carried a nosegay of pink roses and carnations. Each wore identical gowns of turquoise-blue taffeta, fashioned with a round neckline; tiny sleeves; and a harem skirt, With a butterfly bow at the back. Misses Dorothy Goldberg, a cousin of the bride, and Marilyn Mazin; wore matching gowns of yellow, similar in style to those of the other bridesmaids. Each had a petal-shaped hat: and carried sprays of roses; all to match their dresses. In honour of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of the great Hebrew poet Hayyim Nachman Bialik, the Jewish Public Library has arranged a Bialik Neshef to be held at the Library auditorium, Markham and Bar-bord Streets, on Monday, July 27, at 8:00 p.m.; open to the public; no admission charge. The guest speaker will be Rabbi Albert Pappenheim, of the Beth David Congregation. Mrs. Ruth Segal, Israeli actress and graduate of the Ohel Theatre, in Tel Aviv, will piesent readings from the works of Bialik. Baruch Segal, Toronto educator, accompanied by Miss Shirli Pasternak, pianist, will lead the audience in a number of Bia-lik's best known and cherished folk songs. Bert Godfrey, president of the Library, will open the program and Julius Marcus will be chairman. Morley J. Pape, treasurer, and Dr. I. FrankeL director, will also participate.
