He placed sixth in the class; was a University Scholar and holder of the Bruce Smith Faculty Bursary; won the Lieutenant-Governor's Silver Medal In physiology in first year at medical school; was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, honour medical society; had obtained the Bachelor of Science degree from McGill in 1957 with first class honours in physiology; was in intra-mural and class sports; on the Alma Mater Fund committee; worked on Open House. He is interning at the Royal Victoria Hospital, in Montreal.
