Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of chenille satin, with � dropped shoulders, sweetheart neckline, and a semi-hoop shirt She had a chenille satin headpiece and a tulle veil, and she carried a bible with two orchids and streamers of baby chrysanthemums and small flowers. Miss Shirley Rockfield, as maid of honour, wore a gown of rose-colored crepe, and matching headpiece. The bridesmaids, Misses Helen Eisen, Ann Menkes, Estelle Lewis, and Ruth Erenberg. were dressed in purple, blue, gold and green crepe, with matching headpieces, and had nosegays of red roses and white pompoms. Jack Aaron was beat man and the ushers were Harvey Simon, Harry Sroka, Saul Shiner, and Jack Lot-man. Receiving at the synagogue, the bride's mother wore a gown with purple velvet skirt and silver lame top, and corsage of orchids* The groom's mother was in blue sheer, with corsage of orchids. For a wedding trip to Buffalo, N.Y., and Cleveland, Ohio, the bride chose a red suit, with matching hat, black sheer blouse, and fur coat they will live in Toronto. Later, when the Nazis became aware of this ruse, they took many to their headquarters to examine them for evidence of "Jew-ishness." � Many an unfortunate non-Jew has been destroyed because he was circumcised.
Most dastardly of Nazi practices was the deliberate extermination of the children. In this regard, French solidarity has been great. About 30,000 children have been hidden in the country, and a Catholic priest has been one of the most active figures in this work.
