Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Draimin, Oriole Parkway, spent several days over the holiday in Montreal, Que. Mr, and Mrs. M. Aarons, Forest Ridge Drive, had with them for several days her mother, Mrs. Louis Adelman, and sisters, Misses Eva and Doris Adelman, of Windsor.

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Shapiro, Camberwell Road, have with them their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Christison and baby daughter, Patricia Gerta, who recently arrived from Blair Gorrie, Scotland, to take up residence here. Mrs. Chis-tison was born in Palestine, and served in the A.T.S. during the war. Mr. Christison served in the Royal Navy, and was stationed in Palestine.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Donker, Clinton' Street, were hosts at a New Year's Eve party. Guests of honour were the latter's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Black, on the occasion gf their wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Bernholtz, 109 Dewboume Avenue, celebrated their thirty-fourth wedding anni* versary with a family dinner at their home.
Mr. and Mrs. S. Engel, of Montreal, Que., who were visiting here, were entertained at dinner and theatre by Mr. and Mrs. I. Kates. Shaw Street.
Misses Pearl Borts, Grace Street, and Myrtle Borts, Carling Avenue, spent ten days in Montreal, Que., where they visited friends and relatives, and were present at the wedding of Miss Claire Sock man, of Montreal, Que., to Henry Rosenbaum, of Lancaster, Pa.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Shecter, 94 Whitmore Avenue, entertained at a cocktail party on New Year's Eve, followed by the theatre, and supper at home. The hostess wore a grey crepe cocktail dress. Present were: Mr. and Mrs. David Goodman, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Caplan, who were also celebrating their wedding anniversaries; and Mr. and Mr*. Herbert Taylor.
Mr. and Mrs, L. Smith, 704 Crawford Street; and Mr. and Mrs. L. Sone, 46 Beatrice Street, were hosts at a family dinner in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Borinsky, on their twentieth wedding anniversary. Present were: Eileen and Beatrice Borinsky, Evelyn Smith, Charlotte, Gerald, and Brenda Sone, Mr. and Mrs. H. Abramo-vitz, and Mrs. S. Abramovitz, mother of Mrs. Borinsky. Following dinner, Mr. and Mrs. L. Smith entertained thirty-five guests at an evening.
Mrs. Harry Kaman, 24 Sullivan Street, was hostess at a luncheon in honour of her daughter, Faye, whose marriage to Leonard Switzer takes place in the near future. The hostess wore a black crepe dress, with corsage of pink roses; and was assisted by Mrs. Edward Switzer, mother of the groom-elect, in black crepe, with corsage of pink roses; the honoree wearing a black crepe afternoon dress, with a corsage of yellow roses. Rubinoff, grandmother of the bar-mitzvah, in a black gown, with corsage of red and white roses; and Thelma Weinstein, sister of the bar-mitzvah, in a black ballerina dress, with corsage of red roses. Ben. Rubinoff, uncle of the bar-mitzvah, acted as master of ceremonies, and the bar-mitzvah boy spoke. About one hundred and thirty guests were present, among them, Mr. and Mrs. B. Baret, of Windsor; Mrs. N. Rubinoff, and Mr. and Mrs. M. Tulchinsky, of London.

Mrs. Irving M. Moraynis, 1262 St. Clair Avenue West, entertained at a tea at the Flamingo Room, Barclay Hotel, honouring her daughter, Anne Fay, whose marriage to Raymond Moses, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Moses, Dun-das Street West, takes place in the near future. The hostess wore a dress of king's-blue crepe, with a corsage of deep red roses; and was assisted m receiving by Mrs. S. Moses, mother of the groom-elect, in black and pink crepe, trimmed with beading, and a corsage of yellow chrysanthemums and pink roses; and Mrs. A. Lockett, grandmother of the bride-elect, in black crepe, trimmed with satin, and a corsage of red roses. The honoree wore a pink crepe dress, with a pink felt hat, trimmed with pink and silver flowers, and corsage of pink roses. About two hundred gueata were received by the hostess, wearing a purple crepe dress, with a corsago of red roses and white baby chrysanthemums. Assisting in receiving were: Mrs. S. R.
