Saul Bloomfield and Charles Reinhorn of Regina were visitors in Vancouver last week. They were members of the famous Regina Rough Riders rugby team which played here against the Vancouver teams. Both these young men are prominent in Jewish circles in the Prairie city. Mr. and Mrs. David Druxerraan were visitors in Seattle over the Thanksgiving week end. Mrs. M. Plant entertained at a delightful bridge luncheon at the Hotel Vancouver last Saturday. Mrs. Sam Chess left for San Francisco owing to the sudden illness of her mother, Mrs. Signiund. Miss Thelma Porte is a guest at Rainbow Lodge, where she is enjoy-; ing a short holiday. Mrs. A. Squires entertained on Wednesday and Thursday evenings when several tables of bridge and mah jong were in play. Mr. Max Edwards who has been studying at the University of California at Berkeley, is expected home next week. Mrs. C. Grossman's many friends will be pleased to learn that she is rapidly recovering from her recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Herman, Nelson Street, entertained at a birthday party in honor of their son, Arthur. Thirty guests were present. The evening was spent in dancing, music and games. Mr. and Mrs. Morris L. Greene are now residing in their new home at 6541 Lime Street. Their new telephone number is Kerr. 3157. Mrs. William Zimmerman will be a luncheon hostess at her home, 1569 3Sth Avenue West, on Wednesday next, November 26th. Council members and friends are cordially invited to attend. Bridge and mah jong will be played after the luncheon.
