Camp Miriam gets new station wagon Mr. Howard Carter, President of Carter Pontiac Buick Ltd., has announced the donation of a 1968 nine-seater passenger Pontiac Stationwagon for C£unp Miriam's use this summer. In accepting this most generous donation, Mr. Arnold Selwyn, Chairman of the Camp Miriam Board of Directors, issued the following statement to The Bulletin, "The Camp Miriam Board of Directors expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Howard. Carter and sales representative, Mike Norton, for this outstanding contribution. The donation of this 1968 station wagon has saved the camp several hundred dollars. It is contributions such as this that has made it possible for Camp Miriam to offer the best in Jewish camping at the lowest possible rate." CAIMF MIRIAM HOLDS OPEN HOUSE JULY 28 Camp Miriam will hold an Open House and Parents' Day on Sunday, July 28, at the camp on Gabriola Island. Members of the community are invited to spend the day atthe camp and observe and participate in special programs and activities. The proposal was made by Rabbi Joseph Karasick, President of the IJnion of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, at a meeting of the National Board of Directors cd. the organization held at the Hotel Roosevelt in New York City. Chief Rabbi Levin attended and addressed the meeting.
