Growing: like Topsy, Pender Realty at 156 E. Pender Street, has recently been incorporated under the name of "Pender Realty & Insurance Agencies Ltd." It offers to the public a complete real estate service which includes sales, property management, insurance, mortgage and conveyancing.
The office has been enlarged to almost double its original size to accommodate its increasing staff. A recent addition to the six-man sales force is A. C. Braddell, a Notary Public who will double as sales manager. In announcing this appointment, manager Dean Leung commented: "With his years of experience in the field of real estate and conveyancing, Mr. Braddell should be a great asset to this operation."
The firm has expanded to include a building department to assist all who might be interested in having a home built to specifications. Both conventional and NHA mortgages may be arranged and financed.
In addition, the services of a public accountant are available to take care of the bookkeeping for small business firms.

Pressed duck, long a delicacy on the Chinese family dinner table, has been shooed into the assembly line like other contemporary food items and is being mass produced with an eye to capturing the huge potential foreign market of North, Central and South Americas. This ambitious undertaking was conceived by Jimmy's Fine Food Ltd., the latest business venture to make its appearance in Vancouver's Chinatown.
Several prominent businessmen are the financial angels behind this enterprise. Plans call for mass production of 15 kinds of food products, all derivatives of duck, chicken, pork and beef.
