YMCA BOYS' CAMP
The Editor, Chinatown News:
I understand that your publication Chinatown News serves a wide area throughout Vancouver. With the thought of encouraging more Chinese youngsters to attend camp this summer, I -am hoping that you may be able to publicize our YMCA Camp Alouette.
This is the only Day Camp for boys operated throughout the summer on the mainland. We cater to the younger fellows (age 8 to 13) who have never
had any camping experience. Parents wary about sending their youngsters to a resident camp will find Alouette ideal, as campers will be spending evenings and weekends at home.
The camp is located on the banks of the beautiful Alouette River at the border of Garibaldi Park. Opened in 1959, it is still a new operation. II offers most of the activities found at larger resident camps: swimming instruction, two overnight sloepouts, opportunities for group living in a democratic setting. Boys are transported
