TOKYO — The number of Japanese youngsters taken into police custody for川egar use of stimulant drugs In-creased 3t an alarming pace between Jan.1and No v. 30, the National Police Agency reported In a whけe paper released recently.
In the1981whはe paper on stimulant drugs, the agency saidthat methods of smuggling and distributing illegal drugs had become increasingly sophisticated and more wicked.
The total number of crimes involving stimulant drugs uncovered by police authorities increased to 34,244, up 9.8 percent over the corresponding period of last year..
The number of persons caught by police for the illegal use, possession and distribution of stimulant drugs was 20,708, representing an11 percent increase over the year, before level.
