In the more difficult field of our relations with the rest of Canadian society; the League especially has proved its value, as it freely accepted numerous responsibilities thrust upon its shoulders.
The Royal Visit, voluntary registration of Canadian Women, the ^Red: Cross drive, provincial and /la-fional youth congresses, local youth councils; ecTucatioriar meetings with speakers s'uch as Alderman Wilson j and Prof, Angus^ and; the declaration of its IpyaJty to Canada at the outbreak of the war are but some] of the outstanding fields where the i League has carried on its work for! the Niseiv
CHALLENGE This unjustly brief sketch of: League activity stands as the recczd for every Nisei to examine, a record of progress achjtyed in 1939. And now J9^D beckons,, vyifh still greater tasks to be done: To every| Nisei who feels that life has mean^ ing beyond the mere gratification oif the senses, I ypjce a^hallenge to[ share in this work,;work that asks! discipline and sac.ifice on your part, but work that must be xarned out | if the Nisei and their children are] to -march closer to their goal.
