The work is all voluntary and it is^ not a monpy-making venture i"n any way, it .is merely a project .undertaken by .the Society as a useful activity, and in view of this, we could not .help but admire and at the same time, fVe! gratefuj for what they were attempting in full earnest.
If anybody deserves ,a hand, and they really merit much more than that, it's this FjI'm;Society. We've received a copy of the shooting script and in rough, :t follows a Japanese family from Vancouver at;the time of Pearl Harbor, the father, being sent to roadcamp, the family moving into Hastings Park, then thoir removal to the Interior Town, then their resettlement in Eastern Canada. :
The set and prop men have a time reconstruoling the various scenes for the wide variety of shots the production calls for. The 'summer camp as we mentioned before serves as a ghost-town, then there will be the Hastings Park. This may be.'tiiken-at lire ^Canadian National Exhibition grounds. There's a need for. a streetcar interior shot, a railway station, a home typical of 'Vaivcouv'e'r among qthcrs, *Sp the cast and crew wilt be doing a lot of hopping.
And \vitli a lot- of shots- calh ing for. a variety of emotionSj the cast ris to be called on tor. a lot of expressive histrionics. \V> -watched some of them, including
