M: It's one big bloody mess. I don't know when the big one is coming but I'm glad I'm out of it.
G: I took a glance in a Communist paper and all I read was this stuff aJ>out Yankee Agres-sion in Korea and then I read one of the evening papers and I read about Red Agression in Korea. I sometimes got so confused, I didn't know where to turn. I know I was supposed to.be"a good democratic citizen and call do-n the Comniunists but to tell you the truth; I never even knew what it was really all about!
M: Ha!,Even the soldiers fighting in Korea don't know what they're fighting about.
G: It gets me so. mad. All those nice young boys being killed ...
M: My dear girl, nice young joys have to be killed in the vars that have to be waged to keep the capitalist system prospering. - - ,;.': . G: I don't understand. You talk just like a Communist? Didn't you' 1 ike ihc count f y you were living in? - ' . ".' ',

G: My, what an idealist you turned out to be! .
M:.Nowadays it's dangerous to be a' Communist;.There's a great big witch-hunt going on all over the country. Even if you wear a red tic or a^ red sox, some people Will call you a Communist.
