VANCOUVER � The 1951-52 Vancouver JCCA's 14-team bowling league, the first since Pearl Harbour, officially.brought down the curtain for the season on April 12 with a big wind-up banquet attended by about ICO bowler:? and guests from Steveston and Vancouver at the Bamboo Terrace in the heart of Vancouver's Chinatown. - ,
Highlight of the banquet was the. presentation of the trophies by Dr. Harold Saita. Vancouver �J.CCA's vice-president, to each member of the Nelson Pros. Fisheries .(Lucky 13) team, the playoff winner. Winners were Saehi. Koyanagi, George Koyanagi, Sue Tateishi, Harry Kuramoto, Capt. Hiro Niwatsukino, Pill Nishi, and Katie Sameshima.
Others receiving trophies were Fumi Shiba, ladies high everages and triple; Yoichi Kishi, men's high single aiid average; Sue Tateishi,..-.'ladies.' high single; and Kats Nasu, men's high triple.
Each player on ."-'Vancouver's;. 5 1 Unknowns, the consolation champs, were presented with pins. Talented 'singers rounded out the program with vocal selections.. '. ' � r ;. '-. '.'
Following; -conclusion .of the .banquet, the scene moved to the Ukrainian. Hall where a dance was held. - �
