Veteraii Players Herty, Ken Miyasaki Drop Out From League for Better Balance Among Teams
Expanding to a seven-team affair this year, the Toronto Nisei Basketball Association is again likely to be .dominated by the all-powerful Mustangs, perennial league champions.
With both a senior and an intermediate, league this season, the senior league will consist of four teams, a brief round-up of which follows,

/The Mustangs this year will play without the sen-ices of Her-by and Ken Miyasaki. Both Herby and Ken have retired from tho N'isei hoop league so that better balance may be maintained.
But the highly favoured Mustangs will still, be the .team to beat to ciaihv the Toronto Nisei Basketball crown for veteran players Roy Miyasaki and Muka

Sure to give keen competition to the Mustangs will be the.Rebels, again being led by youthful Paul Hiraho and Major Fuku-motd. Except for-'.the use of R. .Matsushita from the: Barons to strengthen the teamV thei Rebs havfe undergone no substantial change from last season,

.Another team tlia^ will be trying to ioppie the. Mustangs :i.Mhe'.' Whizz Kids. It- should be up surprise if they do beat the champs, with such experienced players as Yuki Kanieoka, Alan Pujiwara and Soe Shintani to spearhead the team. .- ',
AFTERHOURS
And the new entry to the loop, the Afterhours, might yet stage* an upset and steal the championship from under the noses of the other three veteran teams. Actually the Rhapsody squad of last year, runner-up for the junior title, the Afterhours will be coached by Herby Miyasaki. .
Perhaps some of.Herby*s glitter may seep into .the Afterhour members. The team will depend largely on Aki Furukawa and Hoy Kobayashi from the outside and Bob Adachi from centre. -" - * * '._-.
Making up the intermediate league are the Orphans, Barons and Rockaway?. Although games will be played with the senior team?, they will be considered as exhibition matches to the intermediates. However^ should a *en-ior team lose to an intermediate in any such contest, the loss will

ORPHANS
. Expected to depend mostly on T. Sumi and-T. Kamino for their points, the Orphans should do Very well against .the senior teams. They may in fact surprise the senior teams in winning some of the exhibition niatches.
Tlie Orphans incidentally aro in need of more players^ an'l anyone interested in playing are requested to get in touch with T. Kamino or T. Sumi.
RARONS
'.With'-.I)ick Aoki sp'arkihg tho Barons again this year, they should prove to give the Orphans p, good battle for the intermediate title, -

. With no team that .could actually rdn away with the championship, the games this year should prove -highly .'interesting. The games will be played at St. VJadi-mir's bn~Bathurst St., opposite Western Hospital and all. fans are urged to come out and support :t^eir tedms. Plays will be every Friday froin 7 p.m. with three scheduled games each week.
