Mustang coach Roy Miya$aki feels the Nisei squad will have to win from Trotters, Latvians and Lithuanians to make a play-off berth. With-avM record to date, St. Chris will have to start a drive to stave off elimination. Paul Hiraho and Herb Mlya-saki will kad the pointgetters. Newcomers Dick Tanaka and Alan Fujiwara have sfyown improvement, and should give the squad a big boost for the remainder. of the season. Meanwhile the NiseJ Flyer eh-try in the interniediate Toronto Hockey League has been getting less publicity than they deserve. To date, Bert Nasu's squad has a 4-2 record and is .tied with Danglers for first place.
Peter Sasaki hat been one of the surprises of the season, currently leading the Nisei scoring parade with six goals. Rookies Pete Nakatsu and Tom Sumi are rapidly gaining experience and coach Nasu has a word of praise for them. Veteran Jackie Tanaka
has stepped in to steady the team at the blue line. A! Lewis is playing his usual good game behind the goalkeeper's pads. Ken Edaraura, Tom Matsumoto
scorers in a 3-1 victory over Northwest Cleaners.
The THL intermediate series consists of six sfctions. Each Section plays about 15 games, and the winners of each section will play off for the .league title. Each section is divided into senior and intermediate playiff groups, and Flyers are a good bet to finish in the senior group. New players are always wel- j come, as it's the aim of the THL j club to encourage young Nisei to play hockey, and to develop players for the senior club. Interest^ ed persons should contact Bert NasulGL. 1724).
