The Rabbinical Council of America meeting in- Atlantic City, NJ., called upon the press and conscientious public officials to continue to expose crime and corruption throughout the U.S. The action was taken in a resolution approved by the 350 Orthodox Rabbis at the closing- session of the Council's fifteenth annual convention, which praised the Kefauver committee and expressed gratitude that its work is to continue.
In another action* the Council pledged fuH support to the nation's mobilization program and urged that the Office of Defense Mobilization be continued as the over-all mobilization agency when the act creating it expires June 30. In the resolution, the Rabbis favored continuation of Marshall Plan aid,
Erice controls, and low-rent public ousing.
The rabbis caHed upon the Israeli Government to afford bail and a fair trial to a group of people arrested in the Jewish state for "allegedly plotting to throw a smoke bomb into the Israeli Parliament at Jerusalem."

After forty-one years as a member of the New York City College faculty, Dr. A. J. Goldforb, a biol-
international organization of Or: thodox Jews. About 1,000 persons attended the meeting, which was held in the auditorium of the Washington Irving High Sohool.
Rabbi EM. Bloch, dean of the Telz Rabbinical Seminary of Cleveland, Ohio, called the arrests "a gigantic hoax." He said that religious Jews "always have been the most ardent supporters of Israel" and charged that the recent arrests of a "suspected religious underground movement" was an attempt to discredit Orthodox Jewry.and "to brand loyal Israelis as subversives because their viewpoints differ with that of the Socialist party in power."
ogy professor, will end his teaching career this summer at the nOTdStory retirement age of 70. Professor Goldforb, through the years has maintained a card file of more than 2,000 of hie students, many of whom have achieved prominence in the fields of biology a<nd medicine.
In 1910, his first year as a faculty member, he founded the biology Club at the college and he has been active in helping to raise a fund which each summer enables one student to visit tJhe Marine Biological Laboratory^ at Woods Hole, Mass. The professor, who has been general secretary of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine since 1923, will continue his work with that group. The society is planning to devote an issue of its journal to Professor Goldforb.
