VENGROFF-NAMEROW
The marriage of Betty, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Ntmerow, 1160 Lajoie Avenue, to Sydney Vengroff, son of Mr. Ind Mr*. Max Vengroff, 6606 Esplanade Avenue, took place at eight o'clock, on Saturday, March 29, at Herman's Restaurant. Rabbi J. Twersky, Rabbi J. M. Magid, and Cantor M. Corner officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her. parents. She wore a bal-leTina-lenfirth gown) of white nylon and Chantilly lace having a high neckline with a collar, long sleeves coming to points at the wrists, a tight-fitted lace bodice, and a full skirt. Her finger-tip veil of tulle illusion was caught to a tiara, studded with crystals and seed-pearl beads, and she carried a white Bible covered with pink orchids. Mrs. Ben Nadelberg, sister of the bride, as matron of
honor, of Jamaica, Long Island,
N. Y., was in a silver-gray shantung ballerina-length gown, embroidered with silver beads, with a matching veil, and carried a cascade of red roses. Sharon Mae Nadelberg, niece of the bride, of Jamaica, Long Island, N. Y., as flower, girl, was in pink nylon, with a pink bonnet, and carried a nosegay of spring flowers. Peter Kloffer, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. An archway of white gladioli, ferns, and white satin ribbon decorated the aisle. There was an orchestra. Mrs. Namerow, mother of the bride, received im a cocoa-coloured lace and sheer gown, with a matching flowered hat and accessories, and a corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. Vengroff was in pale blue crepe cocktail-length dress, with a flowered hat, and a corsage of pink roses. The bride and groom spent their honeymoon in United States, the former travel-, ling in a nrrey wool suit, with camel hair coat, flowered hat, cobra bag and shoes, and a corsage of orchids. They are living in Montreal. Mr. and Mrs. Ben.
Nadelberg, and daughter, Sharon Mae, brother-in-law, sister, and niece of the bride, of Jamaica, Long Island, N. Y.; Misses Sylvia and Ann Vengroff, sisters of the groom; Mrs. M. Goldsmith, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Becky Eisman, all of New York, were wedding guests.
LINETSKY-SHALINSKY
The marriage of Audrey Joan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J Shalinsky, 4261 Marcil Avenue, to Joseph William Linetsky, son of Mrs. .L. Linetsky, 5144 Clark Street, and the late Mr. Linet-sky, took place at a candle-light ceremony, on March 2, at Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, at six o'clock. Rabbi Wilfred Shuchat, Rabbi J. J. Fromm, and Cantor Nathan Mendelson officiated The brifle was given in marriage by her father. She wore a floor-length gown of blush pink lace and tulle over satin. It had 8 high neckline, with tiny collar, long sleeves, pointed at the wrists, a tight fitted bodice, and a bouffant skirt ending in a long trail..
Her floor-length veil of tulle illusion \vas held in place by a crown ol lace studded with seed pearl beads, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and white rosee. Mrs. Leo Singer, sister of the bride, of Lethbride, Alta., as matron of honor, wore a period gown of tulle, having layers of white tulle over white taffeta, the bodice being studded with seed pearl beads and rhinestones, and a bouffant skirt. She had a large white ostrich feather hat and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaids were: Mrs. Saul Gerson, cousin of the bride, and Miss Fre-da Linetsky, sister of the groom. Mrs. Gerson wore orchid-colored tulle and Miss Linetsky, cream-colored tulle. Their gowns were ballerina-length, having tight-fitted bodices and bouffant skirts. They had matching headdresses, with veiling to match, and carried bouquets of yellow roses. Eli Linetsky, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were: Xornran Latsky, Herbert Shalinsky, Dean Kerner, Norman Car-don, Gerald Rath, and Saul Gerson, all cousins of the bride; and
the groomsmen were: Leo Singer, brother-in-law of the bridef of Lethbrkkge, Alta.; Irving Brock, Hymarv Robchtin, Moe Farovitch, Earl Steinberg, and Archie Gold-enbcrg. The synagogue, altar, and aisle were decorated with white gladioli, white satin ribbon, palms, dogwood treesi and can-delbra. Mrs. M. N. Fineberg played the organ. There was an orchestra. A reception took place in the hall of the synagogue where the table centerpieces were of pink roses. The bride and groom jre-c-cived under an arch of white gladioli and standards of white and pink gladioli. Mrs. Shalinsky received in a gown of silver satin with a train. She had a matching hat, studded with seed-pearl beads and rhinestones; matching gloves, and a bouquet of pink roses. Mrs. Linietsky was in blue liice, with matching hat, and corsage, of yellow roses. The bride and groom spent their honeymoon in Atlantic City, N.J.; and New York, the former travelling in a charcoal-grey flannel three-piece outfit, with matching hat trimmed with red rose, matching ac-
cessories, and a corsage of orchids. They are living at 4251 Marcil Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Singer, brother-in-taw and sister of the bride, of Lethbridge, Alta.; Mr. and Mrs. William Friedman, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Frwdman, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fuchs cousins of the bride, all of New York; Mr. and Mrs. S. Lazaro-vitz, Mr. and Mrs. Max Stein-man, and Mr. and Mrs. David Kaatner, all of Quebec City, were wedding guests.
GUYER-WOLFSON
Mr. and Mrs. Joe. Wolfson, 4104 Henri Julien Avenue, announce the marriage of his sister, Miss Faye Wolfson, to Jack Guyer, son of Mrs. Rose Guyer, of Los Angeles, Calif., which^took place on April 26, at eight o'clock, in Los Angeles. The bride and groom are residing there, at 741 North Ridgewood Place. Mrs. Jack Ler-ner, Van Horne Avenue, Montreal; and Mrs. Manny Davis, of Toronto, Qn<t., sisters of the bride, were present at the ceremony.
